Background:
I spend 4 years in the Marines, 1.5 of which was spent in the shit-hole known as Iraq. The one and a half years was split up between the invasion in 2003 and other deployments (mostly in the region known as the Sunni Triangle). I am not what some would call "moto". (I have a poster-sized copy of my DD-214 above my bed)

My job was infantry, my M.O.S. was infantry (not that every Marine is a rifleman stuff) machineguns actually. I am well experienced in most aspects of ground combat. And capable of both offensive and defensive strategies, and their implementation. Besides firing the M16A2-4 (I qualed Expert each of the 3 times I went to the range), I am well acquainted with the M9 / 9mm Beretta, M240G, Mk-19 (if only I could get my hands on one after Z-day), and the M2 .50cal, as well as multiple other armaments.

I have a lot of convoy/vehicle experience, hundreds of patrols (both recon and contact), and hours upon hours of standing post (guard). I've lived in a hole, worn a MOPP suit for weeks (without a shower), eaten thousands of MREs (which I HATE more than anything), and a whole lot more.
