When I started thinking way too much about zombies: Thank you, Dawn of the Dead and Resident Evil for introducing me to paranoia and absolute fear of viral outbreak and total chaos. Add in Max Brooks' Zombie Survival Guide and I knew there was no going back.

What started my zombie fixation: The book sealed the deal. The fear became overwhelming, especially at night and created nightmares (oddly, none in which I've ever died or been bitten in). I began to desensitize myself by reading and watching everything I could get my hands on. Preparation became important, though arguably, you can never prepare fully. You can never unsee what you see.

Favorite zombie movie: Resident Evil Trilogy. Specifically, I enjoy the idea of equal forces. The virus was created and spreads quickly, but alternatively there's Alice who is very much a survivor, though she has one or two Mary Sue qualities.

Favorite quote in any zombie movie: Alice: That homicidal bitch may be our only way out of here.
