About Me: My name: Derek Location: Danvers, MA, USA When I started thinking way too much about zombies: 3 months ago What started my zombie fixation: The thought of a zombie outbreak Favorite zombie book: Zombie Survival Guide Favorite zombie movie: 28 Days Later Favorite quote in any zombie movie: "the" -28 days later Skills:
Visual Aids: Close combat- crowbar Weapons: Long range- M1 carbine (semi-automatic rifle) Medium range- Moltov cocktails My Survival Plan: Days 2-30- We take my car, my friend matt's truck with his boat attached to the back. Then, go to my friend ismael's dad's farm. Steal some chickens, some grain seed. And an assortment of other seeds such as potatoes, grain, ect. After, we wait out at my house for a little, until things die down. Then after most of the panic has cleared out, we go to lowes and steal some concrete blocks, concrete mix, soil fertilizer, five 24' long 6" diameter pipes and twenty 10' long 1" diameter pipes, chicken wired fence, some 2x4's, plywood, as well as dozens of crates of insulation and a staple gun. Then, head across the street and raid the local liquor store. After that, go to the local walmart and block off the 3 entrences with the soda machines and clothing shelves. Then park the cars and the boat in the garages that walmart uses to drop off boxes of goods. Days 31-270- With the use of wal-mart's accesible roof, drop moltov cocktails (using the bottles of beer from the liqour store) onto the heads of zombie and beligerents that come too close. While at the same time gathering rainwater using buckets and pans. Pay attention to the radiowaves using walmart's hand held radios. Days 270-280- Fill up the cars with supplies, food, water, the gun, the ammo, and the chickens. Drive to the dock down in my town's harbor, and drive the boat out to a formerly populated island, known as baker's island (it's inhabitents would have died off by now, either from starvation, or eachother). Make several trips back and forth from the dock to the island over an afternoon, while defending the dock from any nearby zombies. Then, after all of our supplies are on the island, we begin to setup our new fortress. I've been to the island many times, and studied it carefully on google earth. It has a sorce of freshwater, lighthouse, and an area only a couple of dozen of yards away from the freshwater lake at the center of the island that can be used for farming. Days 281+- Create a self sufficient society. Set up a small farm using the soil fertilizer and plant seeds. Set up lobster traps (the island is well known for being plentiful with lobsters) off of the island's dock. Build a henhouse and eat the chickens and their eggs by using the following system; Hatch enough eggs until the chicken population reaches 25, eat their eggs, once a chicken runs out of eggs, kill it, eat it, and allow 3 more eggs to hatch (just in case some die). And use the lighthouse to keep a watchout for boats. And making sure to insulate the attic of the house we choose to stay in, preserve as much as we possible can. The island has a supply of trees, but it is not infinite. After 10 years or so, after most of the zombies have either deterierated or been killed off, we capture several other islands, making sure to secure each and every one of them. By this time it seems very likely that we would be rescued. But if not, we rebuild society, the way it should be. My score and score summary on the non-lame zombie survival test:
