What started my zombie fixation: RvB: Zombie Plan
Favorite zombie book: Zombie Survival Guide
Favorite zombie movie: Dawn of the Dead, 28 Days Later, Shaun of the Dead, Resident Evil, Zombieland
Favorite quote in any zombie movie: My Survival Plan:
My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Tom Ashens
My location: MN
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? anywhere
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? I'll be heading to my old state, Montana.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? via car, jeep, atv, ect.
Got anyone I want to take with me? Any survivors that I find
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Radios, walkie talkies (motorola talkabout is a good choice), cb radios.
How am I planning to get food and water? Just walk in a store and get food and water like a normal person before all hell breaks loose ( when it is just discovered). If the virus is first reported, most people won't go into a panic and start raiding stores and blowing up cars. When my food and water supply runs out, then I'll resort to growing my own food and use evaporated water. Lake water and animals could possibly carry the virus.
Bug Out Bag (editing)What’s my weapon of choice? Any weapon I can scavenge and salvage from police stations, abandoned homes. Otherwise I'll buy one ahead of time.
Examples:Custom Mosin Nagant 91/30 w/ Camo Monte Carlo Stock
Henry .22LR Caliber Survival Rifle

Gerber Mark II Knife
Derringer .44 Caliber Percussion Pistol
Do you need to reload that thing? If its a firearm, then yes.
Gotta plan for that? gather ammunition ahead of time. If I run out, then I'll resort to melee weapons (wrenches, crowbars, blunt objects.)
Equipment/ Supplies:WaterIf you dont have water, then you would soon be dehydrated and die. (remember, you can go 3 weeks without food, but you cant go 3 days without water.) Pack your food and water before you pack your "machin3 gunz!!1! ", your "BAR3TT 50 CALZ!!1!" and your "KATANAZ ROFLZ I PLAYZ 2 MUCK SXBOXS" (thanks DevilNuts)
Canned FoodBring foods that do not need to be cooked and can last long periods of time( Spam and corn beef hash). Otherwise you can cook canned soup, beans, ect on an open fire. ( Remember to eat rations instead of scarfing the whole thing down in one night.)
Israeli Civilian Gas Mask + extra filter canistersIf the virus is airborne and can infect you if you inhale the air, then you'll be needing a gas mask. These Israeli ones are relatively cheap ($20-$30)
