WHAT QUARINITINE PLANS WOULD YOU ESTABLISH IN AN OUTBREAK?

There have been many possible senerios scene in movies and video games about the containment infections. Do you agree with their methods? Do you think they would work against a hostile infection? What would you do in that situation?

heres a question what is the first thing on the US miltaries mind in a situation like that, containment, if they cant contain it & stop the spread of the infect itll be raccoon city all over again & theyll nuke the place to stop the spread

Thankyou for the comment pyro, let me ask this of you though. Would the U.S. government actually destroy one of its own cities with a weapon like that? I don't believe they would deploy a nuclear device on their own soil. And can you imagine the public outrage about the event, even though there were zombies there were also innocent people. Personally I would use a more secretive approach such as sending soldiers in there and eliminating the infected one by one, the utilization of that bomb would be a bit "souless" for me

The US has a 72T mortar nuke. Small footprint.

Pros of using a nuke? Radiation would likely kill any pathogen near the explosion instantaneously. Also kill zombies. So you can be certain the area is sterilized.

Cons? Well obviously the radiation and devestation.

However you need to weigh the benefits of using this. A 72T blast radius is a few city blocks. If used in a rural setting it would likely contain a small outbreak, with minimal risk to soldiers. The last thing you want in a pathogenic outbreak is to infect the First Responders.

You need to stop thinking about "movie nukes" which are huge country-sized explosions. They come in plenty of sizes, from 72T up to 2Mt and beyond.

Do a little research, you might change your mind.

Thankyou for informing me of this particular fact, it is nice to know there are other right-wing weapon worshiping nut jobs out there besides myself.
