What started my zombie fixation: I don't know, I started playing Nazi Zombies and Left 4 dead. Suddenly I was really interested lol.

My location: I live in a rural area. There is a small mountain about 8 Miles from where I live. I will head there with close friends and family. We will build a shelter and will dig a mote full of spikes/spears in it. Then a 10 FT wall about 2 FT thick. We will accept other people in there if they are not infected.
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Anywhere, why take a risk?
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Headed somewhere else, my house is the worst place to be in the whole town lol. To many entrances plus glass doors =P.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? If the zeds are slow "Moaners" By foot or bike. If they are "rage zombies" By car.
Got anyone I want to take with me? My bro Dave: He is quick thinking and good with guns. My sis Sarah: She is in the Navy and has weapons training. My Step bro Alex: He is an ex-marine who fought in both Iraq and Afghanistan. I will get my other family members there and a few of my friends are good with guns. Anybody else who come there as long as they are not infected will be part of the new community.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Most likely the hermit route, unless there is a fellow village nearby, then I will communicate with them.
How am I planning to get food and water? There is a lake behind the mountain, maybe about a mile or two away.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? 12 gauge shotgun, Colt m1911. 357 Magnum. .22 (for back up) My combat knife and a baseball bat.

Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Yes and no. Part of my ideas are from this site/ video games. Others were my own ideas.
