How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? going to buy a ham radio
How am I planning to get food and water? look for victims that look familiar but weren't really friendly with while they were alive shoot them in the head, double tapp by bashing in the brain using the shotgun as a club, raid there house for anything useful since in the initial phase if one person is infected the intire house will be too.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? it would be that new shotgun by black water, yes, yes it's clip loaded
Got a survival philosophy? make sure you love what you do, in my case that will be zombie killing and "if your good at something never do it for free"
