Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Headed out!!
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? 4 to 6 vehicle convoy
Got anyone I want to take with me? 6 of my Army buddies and their family members
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? HAM radio/ strict radio silence, monitor incoming transmissions ONLY!!
How am I planning to get food and water? Stockpiled MRE's, energy bars and enough distilled water for 18 people as far out as 18 months.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? M4's and 38 semiauto side arms. Any larger caliber weapons increase chances to you and your friends of "collateral infection" from the splatter effect. Ammo must be considered a "FINITE" and precious resource, with that in mind, understand that the "INFECTED"are able to hunt the living because of their 3 remaining senses(SIGHT, SMELL,HEARING).The first sense which is "sight" is the weakest of their senses due to the fact that the "INFECTED" have minimal to no bodily fluids and what they do have has in most cases has collected in their lower extremities and long since congealed into a thick black gel-like substance. Therefore , the "INFECTED" have no ability to coat their eyes with "protective fluid," what you and I call tears. This condition results in "THE DEAD STARE" because since their cornea's are no longer protected by fluid, they are vulnerable as the smallest dust particles will scratch and therefore degrade the cornea's ability to process sight.The "INFECTED" can be stopped by taking away two of their three remaining senses and they will just stand there while they are methodically dispatched by a well placed strike from a Katana or other durable "MELEE" weapon. Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? My Plan is based on first hand knowledge that our Government's response to any threat,"Not just a NBC(NUCLEAR,BIOLOGICAL,CHEMICAL) threat which a "ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE" would fall under, but any Government response would be "REACTIONARY" at best, and we as citizens,if we want to survive any "ELE"(EXTINCTION LEVEL EVENT), we must operate under the knowledge of that "WE ARE ON OUR OWN" and not just for the 3 days that the Government already makes us aware of in their "DISASTER PREPAREDNESS" manuals. At some point, once the threat has spiraled "OUT OF CONTROL", the Government will most likely from their "SAFE HAVEN, FAR AWAY FROM THE CARNAGE" begin operations to "TAKE BACK OUR COUNTRY".
