About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: 1988 What started my zombie fixation: Re watching the original Romero films on VHS in the basement of a 100 year old college dorm. Favorite zombie book: Have to be Max Brook's ZSG Favorite zombie movie: the original Dawn of the Dead, followed by Zombieland ( a friend was a zombie actor in it) Favorite quote in any zombie movie: Double Tap! My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Endo or CaptEndo My location: Central Georgia Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?: Anywhere. Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?: Home!! If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? : If this place is overrun, there won't be any more safe places in practical reach. Got anyone I want to take with me? : Wife and baby top of the list, any time every time. How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? : CB, HAM radio, web if the redundancies in the system keep it up any length of time, semaphore, couriers. How am I planning to get food and water?: I live on a farm, with a well, a spring, rain barrels and a county water hookup to a cistern. In addition to gardens, we have goats, beef cattle, and 16 varieties of wild edibles I can think of off the top of my head on the property. Thinking of adding a chicken coup and a pig pen, some fruit trees. What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? : Family of hunters and black powder competition shooters. We have more than one of everything from bows and arrows to flintlocks to modern semi auto military style rifles. We have reloading supplies for modern and muzzle loaders, and we can make more powder, ball and arrows if needed. That doesn't count axes, swords and mundane tools ( I was into medieval combat in my youth). If I have to pick favorites... Win Mod 70, .30-06, Colt 1911, S&W Mod 27 . They all shoot like a dream, accurate, reliable, powerful, attractive to me, and lots of ammo available. Got a survival philosophy? : I will have to be dragged kicking and scratching from this world. If it holds still long enough, I might eat it. Nature is a Mother, but it provides everything if you're smart enough to look for it. Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? : I expect my friends to show up here. Outsiders will have to pass through miles of neighboring farms to get here. I will network with those neighbors to set up collaborative defense in depth. Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of?: I have some minor influence from ZSG, as well as survival information from the Tracker School. the Backwoodsman Magazine, but mostly from having gone out and done things, as well as being a child of the Cold War and a country boy. With a touch of military indoctrination courtesy of Uncle Sam.
