About Me:
My names Charles and I live in a rural part of the country. What really turned me onto the ideas of zombies was probably the first zombie movie I watched which was 28 Days Later. Since then Ive watched, read, and imagined almost all things zombie. My favorite zombie movie however is without a doubt Dawn of the Dead old version and remake both awesome. Second is Diary of the Dead. This is truly my thing. Since I was first introduced to the zombie world Ive had long serious talks with my friend about it and wrote many short stories about it. Also I think Ive got a pretty damn good Idea of what to do and already prepared myself to to the extent available to me at the time. I am self taught in guns, archery, hand to hand, and survival and before you say "self taught doesn't mean shit" well your wrong. In my community hunting is a cultural thing and everyone does it. Me personally I shot my first gun at five years old and shot them ever since. Not bragging and knowing that there's others better I'm pretty damn good at shooting. Also since I do live in a very mountainous region of Kentucky where there's more trees and animals than people being outdoors is something that Ive done all my life and being it like that I know how to survive without any ones help in the mountains for at least a few weeks with minor starting provisions. So in other words as long as I got trees to hide and move in I'm set.
My Survival Plan:
Depends on the situation really. If it was a world news thing before It got too bad then I would prepare myself. I would gather any weapons in my house I could which include guns, swords (Yes I'm a big knife and sword nut and have a collection of five swords and over fifty assorted knives which range from pocket, to survival, to specifically made hand to hand combat knives) and get ready to move out. I would have to get my family and friends because even though its highly dangerous I couldn't leave them and would definitely sacrifice myself to save them, but if they wouldn't listen to reason and refused my help all I could do is move on to the next family member and leave the unreasonable ones to there fate no matter how bad I would feel about it. After retrieving family and friends the tedious task of provisions and guns/ammo would come next. I wouldn't try to take over role as leader because honestly I wouldn't want the responsibilities but I would expect whoever is with me to do as I say until we were relatively safe which includes going to the numerous small stores, pawn shops, residential homes, and otherwise important places to gather the necessities and if they have ideas or opinions I would be all ears for that since its best to always learn in any situation. After that we would have to choose a safe haven to protect ourselves from the zombies, raiders, military or whatever stood in our way and for that I would choose my old high school. Its two stories, strong walls, all windows except for the ones in the classroom and the second stories are either shatter proof or bullet proof I cant remember, big metal doors, alot of food already stored in its kitchen, generators, cameras inside and out, medical facilities, alot of recreational things like books and a large gym that's connected to the main building, relatively isolated, close enough to a main highway to get easily to it but far enough away to not be noticed by too many, and most importantly many easily guarded and locked down exits. After that stay until forced to leave by either external dangers or internal and survive. Leaving only to gather food or other needs and sit tight until (highly unlikely) help arrives or the outside dangers are "taken care off".

If it was just sprung on me at a random morning and I had no time to prepare I would go with the flow as dumb as that sounds. What other choice would I have?

Keep in mind this is only what plans out in my head and given the real thing there's no telling what could happen and change my little plan so adaptability would play a big part in any ones plan. Nothing is set in stone so when the situation does arise I bet you 90% of people to make these plans are going to have to change them due to unexpected problems. Just make sure your smart enough to make these changes safely huh?
