When I started thinking way too much about zombies: After I read the Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks.

What started my zombie fixation: An overactive imagination

Favorite zombie book: World War Z

Favorite zombie movie:28 Weeks Later

Favorite quote in any zombie movie: 5 minutes? No. 5 seconds

After reading the ZSG I became convinced of the zombie threat, and my sole purpose now is to survive the inevitable infestation, no matter what class it may be. Although it was the ZSG that originaly familiarized me with zombies, i have come to realise that there are many different possibility's when the undead are involved, and have opened myself to new theory's. I am familiarizing myself with as many firearms as I can get my hands on, and generally preparing myself for the physical and mental toll of a war with the dead. Im also kicking around some ideas for "survivor stories" just to show how fucked the average guy is when Zack attacks. I refuse to be a statistic. I will survive.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright, on to the good stuff. Below is a list of supplies and weapons that I either own, have easy access too, have difficult access too, or want but won't get. As far as guns go, I like to consider myself an amature marksman. I can hit a target the size of a human head at 150 yards using an un-scoped rifle. I have little-to-no expierience with close-combat orientated weapons, but could still probably decapitate a skin-job. I have a limited amount of survival skills, but this is made up for by the fact that my friends all have extensive training. I'm not dumb enough to try and do it all on my own, and have 4 buddies ready to fight off a horde of zeds. Do I believe that we will see a "Z-Day" type scenario in our liftimes? No, I do not. This won't stop me from getting ready though. Also, I am aware that I lack a B.O.B, and aim to fix that once I find a bag that could serve that purpose. Anyway, feel free to comment on my ideas and plans, once i post them. 'Till then, happy hunting.

Plan for Z-Day: After I learn that zeds are on the loose and somewhere nearby, my first priority will be moving all of my food and general supplies to the second floor of my house. Then, if my buddies (Three other people who are going to survive the outbreak with me) aren't already at my house, i'll either call them or bike to where they live and bring them back to my house. After everything is upstairs, we will destroy my staircase and wait it out upstairs. If/when we run out of supplies, we have several options.
a) work our way down to the dock where i have a sailboat capable of holding 8 people and sail to Conneticut, and from there work our way up to Canada where (hopefully) there will be other survivors to help us ride out the storm.
b) jack a boat from the dock and then proceed with the rest of plan a
c) attempt to go through NYC and then proceed with plan a.
If Canada at any point becomes inaccesable, then my group will attempt to make it to the Rocky Mountains. If none of the above plans are possible or probable, then we will resort to squatting in buildings we find and conducting raids on whatever town we are in. Ive tried to leave as little up to chance as possible, (going through the city will be a very, very last resort option) but survival will require luck no matter what.

*Note* I am currently working on figuring out a more specific route for all of my above plans.

THIS IS AN INCOMPLETE LIST. ONCE I ORGANIZE MY IDEAS, I WILL
POST THEM. (supplies, plans, etc...)

P.S. Make sure you check out the community story. Alot of people have worked really hard, and the result so far is phenominal.
