When I started thinking way too much about zombies:
28 Days Later. The first zombie movie that didn't require suspension of disbelief. The zombies weren't the living dead, they were real people. Single minded, but quasi-intelegent. And guess what, it doesn't take a virus to make people do this, all it takes is a riot.

What started my zombie fixation:
The survival aspect of a zombie outbreak. I was in the army, and a boyscout. It just came naturally. Think Red Dawn meets Evil Dead.
