If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? mountain bike-light, fairly fast, good exercise and can weave in and out of cars

How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? it depends on the situation but VHF radio/ military wavelength/PRC
How am I planning to get food and water? looting , growing, raiding is only a last resort

Gotta plan for that? in the UK there are hardly any guns so i will get what i can, my 1st weapons will be crowbar and various knives/hatchets, police stations with an armed response unit stock G36Ks and MP5s. But army bases stock L85A2s, of Which, thanks to the cadets, i have had exstensive training with
