Beacon Scav Mission Enemy Base Map: DeltaBravo1294 About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: Two years ago. What started my zombie fixation: A friend of mine. Favorite zombie book: World War Z Favorite zombie movie: White Zombies (It's a classic!) Favorite quote in any zombie movie: "I don't watch movies for quotes." My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: DeltaBravo1294 My location: Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? No Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? I have a property I am looking into that will make a great BOL. Check out the link above to read my survival plan. If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Jeep Rubicon with a few jerry cans of fuel, weapons if I can get them by Z-Day, MREs, auto repair kit. Got anyone I want to take with me? If I meet people in my area who I can trust we will either travel in a group, or meet at a pre-determined safehouse...or as safe as possible. How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? I will have a shortwave scanner, CB, UHF/VHF, GMRS/FRS. How am I planning to get food and water? Best case scenario I can get water from a well, or manual pump. Food is tougher, I can stock up the safehouse with MREs, but those will run out eventually. The first thing that comes to mind is hunting, but I don't know if the virus can be spread to animals. Fishing is out of the question too. If zombies were to follow survivers into bodies of water, the amonia from their decaying bodies would kill the fish. For now a safehouse stocked with MREs and other supplies is the best I can hope for. What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? I have three. First a machete, it may seem cliche to the Z-Day community but it doesn't need reloading, it is somewhat stealthy, and it gets the job done. Second would be a decent rifle. Something that is lightweight, and has lightweight ammo. A .22 might work, but it hasn't got a lot of stopping power. If I could get my hands on an AK-47 that would be great (not for mall ninjaness or armchair commandoness but because it holds more ammunition). Third would be my sidearm. Either a Colt 1911, (or a variant i.e. Star Model-P) a Glock 17, or a Glock 26. Got a survival philosophy? I have a few. 1. "Rope is very important. Once you think you have enough of it, double it just to be sure." -Bear Grylls 2. "Hahaha, three round burst! The candle that burns twice as bright lasts half as long." -Gordon Freeman AKA Ross Scott "Freeman's Mind" 3. "A scout is always prepared, but should never be over prepared" -Mr. G. My scoutmaster. 4. "A Kabar in the hand is better than two small bullets lost in the bush." -Me Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Definately, if I know them as friends, or friends from the site. Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Mostly survivalist websites, shows, books, magazines, etc.
