About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: 12th grade, about Nov. 2008. What started my zombie fixation: A guy named Shane and the ZSG. Favorite zombie book: World War Z. Favorite zombie movie: Would you shoot me down for saying Shaun of the Dead? Favorite quote in any zombie movie: "Thank God for rednecks!" Woody Harrielson in Zombieland. My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Otterpop. My location: In one of the most screwed locals, San Antonio. Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Got plans for both but I would rather bug out before they get here. Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Somewhere else. SA has several large military installations, medical training/research facilities including 3 level one trauma centers caring for war injuries shipped back from over seas, major CDC research facilities, and the blood banking headquarters. Combine that with its geographical location with concern to population centers and its location on both the IH35 and the IH10, I'm soooooo out of here. If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? If I catch it early enough I'm willing to risk a plane. If not it'll be by foot and bike. Thank goodness for core training and spinning. Got anyone I want to take with me? I'd like to say my family but more than likely I would take just the few friends I see everyday who are also preparing for the zombie outbreak. How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Hermit it for the most part. Passive observation of communications so that I can keep informed. How am I planning to get food and water? Store it, scavenge. Ideally, have a fortified area to grow food. Water, hopefully store enough until I can replenish my supply. In static defense trapping rain water, if on the move from whatever source I can find. I imagine pools will come in quite handy. What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? Winchester 30-30 (Used it since I was a kid, common ammo.), Smith & Wesson 22A Sport Pistol (close range, less noise, common ammo.), Machete. Got a survival philosophy? Do what you do. Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Perhaps. Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? A mixture of all the above thrown in with my own reasoning. Other Stuff I'm the Otterpop, but I have also been known to answer to Lindsay. I'm currently a twenty year old, full-time student, full time-time 411 operator, and full-time bad ass. I love biology and am currently a Clinical Laboratory Science major. One day I hope to pursue a doctorate in Clinical Pathology. Last note, I'm just a tad bit weird, totally in a good way, but weird. Then again, look at the site YOU'RE on. Thought so. Just SO we're clear, I'm a girl. See.
