My location: The hills of northwestern Pennsylvania.
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?I have a different plan for each scenario.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?I plan to BI for as long as possible, making short trips out to gather friends/family members and supplies, and only BO once it's become absolutely necessary. In such a case I'll be heading south, deeper into the Appalachians, because no matter what the threat, taking the high ground is usually a pretty good idea.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there?Going to load as many supplies as possible into the pickups, get the bikes loaded up, and roll down as far as we can, staying as close to the towns as we can without actually going through 'em. Once we run out of fuel we'll be on foot, sticking to the denser parts of the forest, and using a gps to guide ourselves south, all the while praying I brought enough batteries. haha
Got anyone I want to take with me?Just my brothers, their wives and kids, and a few friends who I know can take care of themselves.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Honestly, if a salelite phone or radio won't work then I'll probably just say screw it and go into hermit mode.
How am I planning to get food and water?There's more wild game and fresh water springs in these parts than we could go through in half a dozen lifetimes.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?I've got my S&W Model 29, a Savage Arms Model 99, and I'm a decent swordsman. I have a number of weapons beyond that and I plan on adding to my small arsenal as much as I can, also hoping to have enough ammunition stored up to last me at least six months before anything should happen, whether that be zombie related or not.
Got a survival philosophy?Travel light, don't get greedy, do whatever is necessary to survive.
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors?It would depend on the person, but yes.
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of?
