MY SKILLS: THE BASIC LIST : Get Stronger - I am average. Lift Bodyweight - I can run with a weight of 45 pounds on my back. Basic First Aid - I have taken basic high-school first aid. CPR (Adult, Child & Infant) - I am certified to give CPR to adults, children, and infants. Be Prepared (Emergency Food, First Aid, Water etc.) - No preparations currently. Be Prepared (Tools, Radio etc.) - I have quite a few tools, but no means of outside communication besides a set of walkies. Cooking Over Campfire - I'm no four star chef, but I can do a thing or too. Basic Mending & Sewing - No. Growing Food - No. Storing Food - No. Sport ATV Safety & Maintenance - I've ridden a four-wheeler before. Orienteering - Basic knowledge of what direction is what, and I can use a map correctly. Fire Safety - No alcohol near the fire, Consider flammability of environment. Relaxation Techniques/Yoga - I like to tell jokes when I want to relax, though they can be crude at times. Swimming/Holding Breath - I can hold my breath for about 20 seconds, and I swim at a bit above average. Driving - I'm 16, but I haven't participated in Driving classes or anything to that degree. INTERMEDIATE TASKS : Advanced First Aid: I have taken basic high-school first aid classes. Gun Safety & Maintenance - I know about basic gun safety but no idea about gun maintenance. Load & Fire Handgun - Airsoft Load & Fire Rifle - Airsoft. Load & Fire Shotgun - Airsoft. Metalworking/Welding - No professional experience. Rock Climbing - Done it once or twice for recreation on a fake wall. Wood Chopping - I've chopped wood before for a friend's fireplace. Horseback Riding - I've ridden a pony. Archery/Crossbow Skills - I can it a standing target at 40 yards Starting/Building A Fire w/o Matches - I know one way to start a fire without matches. Sport ATV Riding - I've ridden a four-wheeler. Hand-To-Hand Combat/Self-Defense - Took a month long combo class (Wrestling, boxing, kickboxing.) Looked into Krav Maga, studied it a little bit, but didn't take any formal classes. Building Rudimentary Shelter - Foraging/Identifying Edible Plants - No. Gather/Purify Water - I can catch the rain, get water from natural sources, then boil it over a source of heat to kill a good amount of the germs and bacterium. Diplomacy - I'm an all right diplomat/ambassador. Group Disaster Training - I am prepared for a zombie outbreak, flash flood and tornado. ADVANCED TASKS: Lock Picking - Basic 6 Pin Cylinder Locks. Boating - Only on family fishing trips. Marksmanship - In Airsoft, I do pretty all right. ELITE TASKS : Hotwiring A Vehicle - Eh... I have basic knowledge, but don't have me on speed dial when you lose your keys. Flying Small Aircraft - No. Landing Small Aircraft - No. My Survival Philosophy: "No love. No mercy. No gods. No faith. Only we remain." Weapons of Choice: Close Quarters: In a pinch: Any blunt object with range. Ideally: A Survival Hatchet, or some type of Non-Serrated Combat Knife. Mid Range: Some type of handgun. I'm not a gun aficionado, so I can't say specifically which. Long Range: Some type of bolt-action rifle. As above, I can't say specifically which. Personal Protection: Head: Du Rag/ Swim Cap: While it may look ridiculous (And possibly feminine) to be wearing the latter outside of a swimming pool, they are good at concealing long hair, for the exact reason to simulate it not being there. Otherwise nothing, unless I'm trying to appear stylish. Face: Nothing Eyewear: UV Protected Sunglasses depending on the region, otherwise nothing. Chest / stomach / arms: No additional protection. Hands: Fingerless Leather Gloves, helps maintain a comfortable grip on handles, ledges, steering wheels, etc. Vehicles: Presently, only a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. (Note: This photograph is not my actual Jeep.) About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: When were you born? What started my zombie fixation: A neural synapse. Favorite zombie book: The Zombie Survival Guide/ The Zombie Combat Manual Favorite zombie movie: Shaun of The Dead Favorite quote in any zombie movie: Shaun:"Pete? Pete?" Ed:"OI PRICK!" *simultaneously* "he's not here." My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Duton for the web, Ryan for radio My location: Oregon. Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?: Pretty much anywhere except huge cities Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?: I hope to go to an RVE in my local region, and plan from there. If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there?: Most likely the Cherokee. Got anyone I want to take with me?: My family. My close friends. Anyone who I've screened and has proven useful and not planning on betraying me. How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route?: People are dangerous. Extensive screening and loyalty tests before accepting anyone into my group. How am I planning to get food and water?: Unknown as of late. Relying on the kindness of the universe at the moment. What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?: I'd like to avoid direct confrontation if possible, however, if it is necessary, see my weapons stated above. Got a survival philosophy?: Resources such as ammunition, building supplies, gasoline, etc. are not nearly as important as the resource used to acquire them. Manpower. Am I willing to hook up with other survivors?: Maybe. Depends. Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of?: No current plan as of late.
