What started my zombie fixation: Watching Shaun of the Dead

My location: Southwestern Minnesota, USA
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? I go wherever I can stay safest for longest, hopefully hooking up with JPTank and with comrade SovietPrince.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Staying home for The Panic. Getting outta dodge later and meet up in Canada.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Using a vehicle as far as possible then hoofing it. And then after discussions, usng the vehicles to head farther North.
Got anyone I want to take with me? About 40. Maybe. If everything falls into place... And if they aren't already infected.That includes a few friends and family members but how often are estimates coreect? Am I right? But I'm always willing to add more to the group if anyones decides to hop on the ole anti-z bandwagon.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? I gonna try to keep up comms. But there's that one word. Try. It won't be as easy as it sounds, that, I can guaruntee. Maybe a CB radio here and an FM/AM radio there.
How am I planning to get food and water? Farming, hopefully getting a well dug, or maybe using a lake or stream.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? Marlin Model 60, 22LR. It's light, can take down small game and most zeds that come a'knockin' and is light and I like it's iron sights. Also, my Remington 870 Wingmaster and possibly my Rossi Single Shot 22LR/20GA

Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? The more the merrier. You can never have too many friends, guns or ammo.
