My Gear: Skateboard, backpack, solar charger for phone and ipod (takes about 8 hours to get the ipod touch to full charge)

What I wish I could have that I could realistically get:
1. A high quality knife or baseball bat.
Preferably both, as I don't know a way where a knife couldn't be useful. I have a boxcutter knife, but that isn't exactly the kind of thing you'd want as a weapon.

2. Some kind of powered vehicle, like a car or electric skateboard.

Guns are out of the question, I live in NYC, and our mayor has a real hard-on for gun control.
