Part 1: Bugging In I have lumber and nails stock piled and i have a bugout bag containing some canned food my ak, two boxes of ammunition, and my machete. I will board up all windows and doors and prepare in the attached garage to head out. Part 2: Bugging Out If and when the s#!* hits the fan, we will get to the attached garage and take our saturn vue down the hill to the lake where our small john boat is waiting. We will then take the boat up the creek to the water purification station at the local factory. I will spring the gate and grab a deisil forklift and clear a way for my family to reach the planned building. Part 3: Digging In My Bug out location is a factory for large construction equipment.The plant has a water purification station and water tower. It also has a power plant with a reserve of natural gas, and several fueling stations with gasoline and deisil fuel. We will weld all the overhead doors shut except one on a truck dock. Next we will move all forklifts not being used as assault pods in front of the doors. There are shelving racks that reach forty feet tall, we will torch cut the lower shelves to have a relatively safe sleeping area. Part 4: Living For a time, the daily life of the compound will revolve around clearing the entire factory. Then the attention will shift to bringing up to operating status some of the equipment off the assembly line. These machines will be modified with armor plating. These will be used in raids on the local community college's horticulture department for seeds, with an 18 wheeler in raids against the local markets for supplies. Smaller quiter vehicles will be used to raid sporting goods stores. Eventually we will raid the local radio station for its broadcast equipment and set up a recorded message for a redevouz point for survivors.
