When I started thinking way too much about Zombies: After watching Dawn of the Dead for the first time. Since then, every time I think of zombies I find myself asking "what would I do in that circumstance?" What started my zombie fixation: When I was a kid my parents went to go see the original Dawn of the Dead at the movies. I remember that no kids were alowed due to the graphic nature of the film. They told me it was the scariest thing they have ever seen and that I should never watch it. Well that stuck in my head and when I got older I watched it. It scared the crap out of me but yet I felt drawn to watching more zombie movies. Favorite Zombie book: World War Z Favorite Zombie movie:Dawn of the Dead (remake) Favorite quote in any zombie movie: "He's a twitcher" - Dawn of the Dead (remake) My score and score summary on the non-lame zombie survival test: This is just a small list of some of the gear I already have. It was easy for me to get the firepower because I used to sell guns as a side business. I hear lots of people say they are going to raid a military armory , but get real......it will be filled with armed personel and you won't be the only person wanting weapons from there. My Firepower. For those zombies that I need to reach out to touch from long range I'll bring my M-1A with Leupold scope and Harris bi-pod. Seeing how I already have little over 1000 rds for it, I should be ok in the ammo department for a bit. For undead tangos at closer range I would fall back on my Bushmaster M-4. This weapon is light and is better made for close quarters. The ammo for this weapon is light and I also keep around 3000 rds handy. I also have an AK-47 just like this one, but mine has the bayonet. It fires the powerful 7.62x39 just like the SKS...which I also have.Being able to use the same ammo on both weapons is a plus. This ammo is very cheap so I keep over 1000 rds for them. No doubt about it....I would carry two handguns at all times. One being my Springfield Armory 45. Great knock down power and the ammo is very easy to come by. I also can reload if I had to. My second sidearm would be my FN 5seven USG. Mine looks just like this one but I don't have a light on it yet. It holds 20 rds and has very little recoil. The only problem is that the ammo is very hard to get and at the moment I only have 200 rds for it. My Transportation. Its not the most ideal transportation for driving in a zombie infested world but it will last me long enough till I come across some wealthy eatten family who don't need there Hummer anymore. Gear All the stuff above I now own, but the stuff below is more of a wish list. A good military style backpack is needed. The ones to get are light and have a quick disconnect pull tab on them so when you have to drop the pack fast in an emergency. Since I plan on carrying 2 hand guns I will be carrying one on a thigh holster like this one. I plan to use this S.T.R.I.K.E.R setup to carry my second pistol. It also serves the purpose of carrying ammo for my M-4. Also nice to have would be these Cut resistant kevlar gloves by BlackHawk. A good pair of boots is a must. If your feet are not kept in top shape then your screwed. This hydration pack is very cool. You can clip it on the side of your pack or belt and you can drink while running from zombies at the same time. VERY COOL!!! I have also picked out this field medic kit. Not so much to help others as much as to help me patch myself up haha. Who in there right mind would not take their copy of the "Zombie Survival Guide". I also suggest you keep a log of your last days. I nice notepad like this seems very appropriate.
