When I started thinking way too much about Zombies:

When I saw the remake of Dawn of the Dead, after watching 28 Days later, after staring up an Urban Dead account.

What started my zombie fixation:

When I got into anarchy as a form of government. I don't mean the dumbed down, "MTV' style anarchy that sells faux punk records. I mean intellectual anarchy where you don't go around just blowing stuff up. Then I realized that if there was a zombie attack, it would be like dealing with non-cognitivehumans and the drudgery of modern life wouldn't apply anymore, which would be awesome.

28 Days Later (Don't even get me started on 28 Weeks Later... Just shameful...)
