Welcome! Take a seat! I've came here to find some helping hands to always pull me out of a horde of zombie. About me: Pros: I have high stamina, I'm pretty light and quick and I can shoot pretty well with a small handgun. Also I do not drive too bad at all. Also I've got myself a quite of a skill in scavenging, I'm pretty charismatic too, at least from what my friends say. Cons:I cant take too much beating (Proved in a fight against a drunk man), I'm not too strong, I'm bit of a claustrophobic. Extra knowledge: Type of current home: An apartment, 4th floor (Top), owning a car, clear visual from apartment to old wool factory in front of my house (About 50m of distance) and its parking lot, stairs in my apartment complex are steep and are curved to left side, there is a elevator in my house, backyard is on another terrain level, than the front. Equipment: E for equipment! Includes Offensive for fighting, Defensive as clothes and armor, Active for items that can be used for moving around, during moving around, or when staying in one place, such as Ropes and hooks, binoculars, night vision, camouflage or items meant as distractions such as rocks, pieces of glass etc. Passive items that is used when staying in one place, such as matches, nails, lights, planks etc. And finally, support, meaning stuff for healing wounds, curing infections or diseases, or food and liquids for hunger and thirst. Offensive: The equipment that is used primarily to defend myself from hordes, meaning, these are the first offensive items I look for in the start of apocalypse: Beretta92FS as a firearm, Kitchen Knife as melee weapon, and flashlight as a light source. (Can be taped onto Beretta) Defensive: Things that are used to protect my skin from infectious bites, falls from too high or from dangerous ruins. Ok, here is a Leather Jacket, that has been padded with something not heavy, but protective. Also there is same goes for the jeans. I own both of these but I was too tired to take a picture of them. Active: Items I use on the move to make the moving faster! Binoculars for seeing farther, Climbing equipment for climbing up tall buildings for safe areas, 2 Emergency flares for lighting up the night and a mini-periscope for seeing behind corners. All of these are easy to get. Binoculars I have, climbing equipment can be found from a sports shop, and emergency flares are almost in every car tunnel and the periscope I have too (You know, one you can find at Royal Toys). Passive: Passive for stuff that can be used in/to make camps. Also used for staying in one place for a while. Matches to lit fire, Pocket Radio to listen for emergency broadcasts, sleeping bag for sleeping without a bed and a siren flashlight to alert the camp for incoming horde. (Can also used when looking for uninfected survivors) Support: Mmm. Food, liquids, medical supplies etc. These are the stuff I would carry during a zombie apocalypse to gorge, heal or cure myself. Here it is! Some canned goods (Any will do), a Mini First-aid kit, some Painkillers, and a Thermos filled with any edible liquid. My Vehicle OK my car is a rusty 1986 Nissan Sunny spirit. I got it when I started driving school. And its still working! Here's the picture of it As you can see, it's not the finest cars in the world but it is very useful. Also it is easy to mod or repair it. Here are the upgrades I would do on it:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here is the picture of the old wool factory, taken from my apartment. My Plan for Survival: Ok here's the situation. Let's imagine it's the moment of the first infection, the moment nobody would be aware of the danger. Then, it strikes. Nearby cities would collapse (not literally) in the chaos and the and the zombies would just get closer. Emergency broadcasts would be seen on television and heard from the radio. Emergency sirens would be on, warning from the oncoming danger. So what would I do? Here's the plan. I would take everything useful out of the closets and check for everything I need (See My Equipment above). Also I would gather my friends and discuss with them about the situation. We would decide what is coming and what should we do next. First thing we would do, is looting. Since we are pretty much the staying type, meaning we would at first stages of the chaos, stay at our city, gather supplies, look for survivors and try to contact the authorities. Also we would be building our base and marking the map with areas that are dangerous and safe. We would look for means of transportation and communication. Which brings us at the second part of my plan: Camp/base protection We would stay at my apartment and search the other apartments for useful items and supplies by breaking the doors. We also would make graffiti of a safe house pointing to our base, allowing more survivors to come in. With their specialized skills, we would build a better and a safer base. And we also would conduct search parties to the old wool factory (That has been converted to a City Hall) to search for survivors, supplies and equipment. As you can see, there is a clear view to it. Also I would serve a good place to start scavenging. Though this picture is taken during middle-day, I think there would still be cars in here, since not all people would get to their vehicles, providing us a good source of transportation and spare parts. Our base would be a tight place. After all my apartment is not the biggest and there would be a lot of supplies. The door would be cover with metal plating and the windows with thick curtains. Graffiti would be place on the walls to indicate a safe-house for other survivors. All useless items would be thrown to other apartments waiting for later use. Computer, TV, radio, fridge and other useful stuff would be left for help. (Provided there is electricity left) Also, cabins and boxes would be left to provide containers for equipment and supplies. This concludes the second part. 3rd part: Scavenging and moving in the infected city: OK, so here I'm gonna tell you what, how and where I'm going to scavenge for supplies and equipment. OK, so in my situation, best place to start scavenging, is the nearby mall. Though in the later parts of infection, it would be a deathtrap since there is only two Plexiglas doors as exits. Also the parking complex under the mall would be crawling with zombies. So mall would be chosen only on the first parts of the infection, though it would be looted by everyone else too. So I would move during the daylight, since zombies rely on their nose and ears mostly, as we normal people on our eyes. And I would ALWAYS move using a car, at least when there is at least 200 metres of distance. Safety first! Also regular patrols would be established for survivors and to mark safe and dangerous areas. Speaking of which, we would start marking the maps with usual places of hordes and places where they are rare. This would allow us to plan our route to somewhere with minimal risk as possible. Also as there is a radio station nearby, we would sometimes visit there and broadcast help signals and maybe even take the radio with us, if that would be possible. We would stay away from the northern part of the city, since there is the city hospital, where all infected patients would be transported in the beginning of the chaos, turning the northern part into a place where nobody stays alive. We would stay away from apartment complexes we dont know anything about, since there is a bigger chance of encountering zombies. At later parts, we would loot smaller stores for food and supplies, such as cafes, grocery stores and hardware stores.
