Ok folks, here's an updated version . I really hope Z-Day does happen. Every time some of my liberal friends ask why I have so many guns, I tell them it's for the Zombie Apocalypse. HAHA! That would shut them up finally.

I spent eight years in the military. All eight years were overseas. Most of that was in the sandbox. Right now I'm a private contractor over in Craptasticstan. I have alot of experience in room clearing, convoy operations, area obseration and route recon. Im very organized at what I do. I am trained in small fire team tactics and squad element sized manuerver's. Im very confident in my knowledge and capability with weapons.

I have always had this thing about how the world would end and how would it happen. I believe in being prepared for anything and having a plan, a back-up plan, and an SHTF plan. But, with all the dieseases in the world today, and with all the new meds comming out, somebody is going to mix the wrong medical cocktail and BOOM...you got yourself a Z-DAY!

When and if it goes down, you can find me in Texas. Preferably the central area. You can hit me up on the radio, my handle will be Hendo(Hen-doh). First sign of the living dead in this country and I'll be ready. First things first, check, double check everything. Make sure my inventory is up to date. Make sure I have everything out and ready to roll.

I have some friends from the military and friends I grew up with that served in the military that know to pop smoke and beat feet to my location. I live eleven miles from the nearest town so I know it will be awhile before I see many zombie's. I live on a large ranch and can hunt anything really. I have a very large garden with a wide variety of vegetables and even some fruit. My friends all have their own weapons and all are like mine, so ammo will be easy to spread around.

Keeping a stable amount of food and water should not be a problem. I have plenty of bottled water at the house. I drink water like it's going outta style. I live in the country so that means a water well also. It's hooked up to the house through 4 different filters. I kinda suffer from OCD and I'm picky about having my water as clean as possible. I swear its better than the bottled stuff sometimes. I have a huge garden and know how to preserve it for long periods of time after picking.

You guys call them a Bail Out Bag, I call them a Go Bag. Wanted to bring that up so you know what I'm talking about when it comes up. I kinda have several. One for my primary weapons and a few for gear. Actually to be truthful, ones more like a larger water proof foot locker. The one with my guns has the following. My Kimber TLE RL 2 .45(with crimson trace grips), Remington 870(with ghost ring sights and side saddles). and my favorite M4....my LWRC in 5.56. Its got an Eo-Tech 553 on it with a Tango Down Battle Grip and fore-grip. In the bag there are 4 mags of 30 for the M4, 25 rounds of 00 buck and 6 mags of 8 for the kimber. My actual bag for the gear has assorted items. Items such as personal hygiene, extra set of clothes, plenty of smokes, GPS, radio(both CB and and one of those motorola ones you can get at a hunting store). I have plenty of Cliff bars, and some small zip-lock bags with protein powder. My foot locker has a couple gallons of water in it, extra food, 550 cord, a crowbar, blanket, road flares, my advanced first aid kit. Its got more stuff cant really remember at the moment. Gonna have to look at when I get back to the states. Its really just a basic readiness kit. Since I will be EVACing outta my house via my garage, It gives me a chance to pick up a few extra things before I go. Such things include extra ammo, gear, anything that could be of some use.

When and if this goes down, I'm going to my basement and will immediately start loading as much ammo as I can for the weapons I can take with me. One thing I didn't mention that I will be taking is my chest rig and drop rigs. The chest is pre-loaded with 12 mags and med kit. It has 4 single mag pouches on it that hold a pre-loaded mag for the Kimber. Its got a light, light stick, pens, notepad, and a Gerber multi-tool in a side pouch. When I get back I'm gonna see how long it takes to grab and go with all this stuff.

I'm gonna be rolling in my 99 silverado. Its got a six inch lift, grill guard, heavy rear bumper and a headache rack on it. Anybody that's gonna go with can use my Tahoe. If they have brought there own truck or SUV that would be great but we would use too much fuel if its only a few of use.

If we run into survivors, I/we would like to team up in some sort of manner. When going on supply runs we will hit up whats left in the stores first. If the outbreak is bad enough, thats gonna mean alot of empty houses. Im sure we will be able find plenty of stuff there. Main objective is to survive and thats just plain common sense. So, that means not actively engaging hordes of the undead unless we have to.

We will stay where we are for as long as possible. But when its time to move, we're gonna move fast. First goal will be to go to pre-determined locations that have already been reconed and found to be acceptable.

If any of you guys have any suggestions please jump in. The better we can can prepare the better off we can be.
