Hey, I think you're super!1

About Me:
When I started thinking way too much about zombies: Probably near the end of high school.
What started my zombie fixation: Not a clue. One day I was fine, the next I found myself staring at Land of the Dead in the video store thinking 'I have got to see that!'
Favorite zombie book: Maybe Autumn by David Moody. Or perhaps Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, which is hilarious. Or maybe the one I'm writing.
Favorite zombie movie: Resident Evil because you can't beat Milla in short-shorts woth a stick, and because zombie ravens are AWESOME.
Favorite quote in any zombie movie: I don't have one, but my favourite quote in a zombie book is: The dead may not sleep, but I assure you, this dead likes to get her head down once in a while.

My Survival Plan:
My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Raen or Mae
My location: Warmbaths, South Africa
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? I'm guessing you mean whether the zombies would be in my home town versus sightings of zombies anywhere in the world. It would depend. Warmbaths is a holiday town, we don't see many people from outside in the 'off'season. So in the case of zombies anywhere in the world, I would just be sure to bug out before school holidays hit. I will be bugging out at the first sign of panic in South Africa - Warmbaths is a short way from the N1 highway, which leads from north to south through pretty much most of the country, including Pretoria and Johannesburg. The highway is a likely spreading point for infection as the infected try to flee and the dead come after them. I do not expect that Warmbaths will remain clean for long after infection hits in Johannesburg.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Definitely headed out somewhere - we have an easily-defended farmhouse outside of town.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? My father and I recently restored a Land Rover game-drive vehicle to working condition. It's not too fast, but it's got room for everyone who's coming and I like the fact that it's open-topped, which will give us a mobile firing position. No need to hang out the window or anything stupid like that; we can just point and shoot.
It's also got a fair amount of cargo space under the seats. Won't be able to take a year's worth of supplies, but it'll do.
Got anyone I want to take with me?My kid, my parents and my dog. That's it, basically.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? We have radio at the farm
How am I planning to get food and water? Borehole provides fresh potable water. farm provides food. Gennie provides power
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? I'll be taking my blades wth me, and Hanck (lives in the fortified farmhouse) has got the gun collection. Since the intital part of my plan rest solely on evasion, I don't have plans to aquire any guns before the farmhouse. Should something go wrong I'll basically be screwed, so any suggestions regarding long-range zombie-effective weapons would be awesome. Have lots of bullets at the farmhouse, but no plan for resupply, so will have to be careful with it.
Got a survival philosophy? No point in long-term survival if you're going to give up the things that make you human. To that end. raiders will be shot on sight.
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Sure, as long as they don't try to run things.
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? I don't think so, it just seems like common sense.
