Hey there, my name is Mike. I'm into a bunch of different things but one of my favorite hobbies is packing, repacking, and thinking about what to put in my bob.


-No matter what happens one thing always makes me feel better. Going shooting.
-Yes, I do have this tattooed on my upper arm. If you can tell I like to keep things classy.

There was a discussion some time ago about whether a phone book would stop a 12 Gauge slug or not. I didn't think it would (I shot a kevlar with one and it didn't penetrate but, let's just say that if you had been wearing that helmet with the chinstrap on your skull would have a dent about four inches deep). Here's the results of my shooting experiment.



The exit hole of the slug was huge and exactly what I had imagined it would be.
I wouldn't want to get hit with one.



I really, really needed to get ^that^ shotgun refinished. The guy even added some words for me without upping the price. He was a little desperate for cash. Tell me that's not one of the coolest things I've ever done.
