Hey there, I'm Mike. I live on the road most of the time which helps because I'm extremely paranoid, opinionated, and quickly angered. One of my favorite hobbies is packing, repacking, and thinking about what to put in my JIC bag, or B.O.B.


-No matter what happens one thing always makes me feel better. Going shooting.
-Yes, I do have this tattooed on my upper arm. If you can tell I like to keep things classy.

There was a discussion some time ago about whether a phone book would stop a 12 Gauge slug or not. I didn't think it would (I shot a kevlar with one and it didn't penetrate but, let's just say that if you had been wearing that helmet with the chinstrap on your skull would have a dent about four inches deep). Here's the results of my shooting experiment.


The camera died. Wonderful. The 9mm went straight through and apparently I didn't miss eight times. I missed five times :) It just didn't disturb the book at all. The exit holes were really small. I shot at it with a pellet gun, it went in almost all the way through the a's.
The exit hole of the slug was huge and exactly what I had imagined it would be.
I wouldn't want to get hit with one.



Also, that's an awesome face I'm pulling at the beginning of the 9mm movie =)



I really, really needed to get this shotgun refinished. The guy even added some words for me without upping the price. He was a little desperate for cash. Tell me that's not one of the coolest things I've ever done.
