What started my zombie fixation: don`t know, a while ago.

My location: a small island in a bay off the east coast
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Yup. If they're in my area, but not within a few miles, start prepping, but stay normal. if they come closer, start buying concrete.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? I`ll be here, holding out. Unless of course, I Can find someplace better.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? bike or foot are the only things i`m licensced to use, for now. Course, I may end up taking a boat, which is iffy, but I could still pilot. If it's not sail powered, that is.
Got anyone I want to take with me? close friends and family.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? we don`t have much in the way of Comms, but I think I can come up with a solution. hopefully. if not, I guess that's not a choice.
How am I planning to get food and water? we have a good number of farms and a large water tower, plus a reservoir. If it comes down to it though, I'll build a makeshift distillery, and start using ocean water.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? Whatever I can get my hands on,but preferably a small caliber bolt action/semi-auto, or a crowbar. Katana would be awesome, but not practical.
Got a survival philosophy? Being an ass will end your life. Stupidity will shorten your life. Preparation will lengthen your life. Creativity, ingenuity, and adaptivity will save it.
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? always, with any not *******'s.
