About Me:

When I started thinking way too much about zombies
: I honestly don't know. It started sometime in elementary school, ever since I watched Night of the Living Dead.

What started my zombie fixation:
See above.

Favorite zombie books: Zombie Survival Guide, World War Z, and Day by Day Armageddon.

Favorite zombie movie
: Dawn of the Dead (2004). The Crazies (2010) is also a favorite of mine, although it's not technically a zombie movie according to some.

Job: I recently graduated high school. My future plans revolve around college, the military, and law enforcement.

My Survival Plan:

My “handle” should you look for me on the radio waves or web:
Depends on how safe I feel about using my actual name over the radio/web. In all likelihood it'll be "Jason Redfield" (or some variation thereof). Or, if I'm feeling really fancy, "Vanguard".

My location:
Georgia (Metro Atlanta area)

Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Admittedly, my planning has been focused more (albeit not entirely) on surviving a small-scale local outbreak.

Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?

Staying home for as long as possible is the main tenet of my plan. If this becomes unfeasible, the strategy would probably be to head to a nearby Army installation (Fort Gillem, Fort McPherson, Fort Gordon, and Fort Benning are all relatively nearby).

If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there?

Automobile.

Got anyone I want to take with me?

My immediate family, plus pets.

How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route?
Not sure. It would depend on the situation at hand, to be honest.

How am I planning to get food and
water?
Living off what we (my family and I) already have and scavenging when necessary/feasible.

Weaponry:

Norinco SKS
As of now, this would serve as my primary weapon. It would be fed by TAPCO 20-round polymer magazines loaded with Hornady 7.62x39mm 123-grain Zombie-Max ammunition, with whatever practice ammo I have on-hand (usually TulAmmo FMJs) serving as backups.

The SKS is fitted with a TAPCO Intrafuse Stock System, three-point adjustable sling, and a TAPCO vertical foregrip/bipod.

Sidearms
Pictured below are the three pistols available to me:
  • SIG SAUER SP2022 chambered in 9x19mm.Two 15-round magazines generally loaded with Federal 124-grain Hydra-Shok jacketed hollow-points.
  • East German Makarov chambered in 9x18mm Makarov. Two eight-round magazines that loaded with TulAmmo 92-grain FMJs.
  • German-made Burgo 106S snub nose revolver chambered in .22LR. Eight-shot cylinder. Loaded with whatever .22LR ammunition I happen to have on hand at the time.

Plus a compound bow, as well as various edged weapons and bludgeons around the house (pocket knives, kitchen knives, hammers, etc.)

Got a survival philosophy?

Discipline and determination.

Am I willing to hook up with other survivors?

Possibly, depending on the situation and who the survivors in question are.

Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of?

Bits and pieces collected from multiple sources, along with some I thought of myself.
