When I started thinking way too much about Zombies: Z-day is the perfect metaphor for a civilazation ending disaster. Once I realized that, the concept became constantly on my mind. What started my zombie fixation: Favorite Zombie book: The Walking Dead Favorite Zombie movie: 28 weeks later Favorite quote in any zombie movie: My score and score summary on the non-lame zombie survival test: Zombie Master. You scored 77% survivability and 53% kickass-ability! You were born for z-day. Not only will you be killing zombies left and right, but you will be leading the other survivors. You will be the one making decisions and the person who is looked to for advice. Congratulations. Z-Day Survival plan Your Name: Jeff Your "handle" should we look for you on the radio waves or web: Jeff Your location: Los Angeles, Ca

Tell us:

·Is your plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?
Odds are that I'll be in L.A. when z-day goes down so that is what I'm planing for. ·

Will you be staying in your home or headed somewhere else?
Since every idiot in town will be packing the freeways or slouching and moaning, I plan on sitting tight until the "great panic" passes. ·

If you're heading out, how do you plan to get there?
One of the things I'll do to pass the time, Once other preparations are taken care of , is modify my ride. It's a Honda Civic hybrid. You say " weak engine and no off road", I say "Amazing mileage in a world with out gas stations." Also I have a mountain bike and like to hike. ·

Got anyone you want to take with you?
My Girl for sure. Anyone else I can save. ·

How will you communicate with the outside world, or do you plan to go the hermit route? One of the safe houses I set up will have a satellite hookup plus shortwave. I'm a multi-media major, so that sort of thing is no problem. ·

How are you planning to get food and water?
Scavenge and farming. I have a few portable A.C.s that produce about a gallon of distilled water from the air in a day. ·

What's your weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? Katana and hatchet. for now anyway ·

Got a survival philosophy?
Stay quiet. Set up multiple safe houses and always be ready to run. Thin out zeds when possible, but there are millions of them in LA. Set up Passive Barriers when possible. ·

Are you willing to hook up with other survivors?
Sure and ditch 'em at a moments notice. ·

Is your plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist we may have heard of?
It assumes that the Zeds will be the Max Brooks model. ·

The complete plan:
I'm Bugging -in Right now, I'm not nearly equiped to go out and start kicking zed ass. So, I'll try to reenforce my apartment as a fall back point and get to my girlfreind's apartment. We will lay low while LA goes to hell, if any one in her building turns, I'll take them out. To pass the time, I'll modefy my car and the building to be more Zed resistant and start growing food. I'll raid near by houses for supplies as soon as I can.

Bug Out Bag
Some of you people list the inventory of the local national guard base as your Bug-out-bag. Or you have weapons you have no access to and will have to get after Z-day. Good luck with that. I'm setting up 2 z-day gear lists. One is stuff I actually have and the other is a realistic Dream gear list (stuff I can buy pre-Z-Day). Ill try to include weight as I build this list. Like your idea about using an A.C. to get water, would of never thought of that. In washington state A.C. is not used much.
Do you find this valuable?
