Like your idea about using an A.C. to get water, would of never thought of that. In washington state A.C. is not used much.

you want to get one with a removable reservoir, which is more common in the portable type of A/C.
I can expect a 1/2 gallon a day out of one a/c, and thats in desert. I'm guessing you'd do better.

Here in the humid mid-south swamps of Arkansas, I am getting over 5 gallons a day. Your mileage may vary.
