What started my zombie fixation: A general paranoia of the end of the world

My location: Naples, Fl
Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Still working on a anywhere plan, but it would be similar to my current location. bug in wait out the panic.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? My current home is all on one level. but is very easy to fortify if need be. all the windows have hurricane shutters. the front entrance is gated with a 8 foot fence with locking gate. one side of back yard is fenced in with a 5 foot retain wall with 8 ft gate like in the front. had a pool with cage. could possible board up the cage. have a canal in back yard as possible way to bug out. not the best location but good place to ride out the panic.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Boat. first choice. have access to a pontoon boat. can float down stream to the ocean to save gas. Also looking to maybe using a plane from the air port about a block away. (small air port)
Got anyone I want to take with me? Not really. For the most part i would be on my own since most of my friends and such live in another state. got some neighbors that would be handy to have around.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Radio scanning. use cb/walkie talkies looking for survivors after i'm get up in my BOL
How am I planning to get food and water?After supplies are running low. i would have to scrounging for it. after i get to BOL may be able to start growing food/raising goats
What’s my weapon of choice? need something light. looking for a riffle that uses 9mm ammo. (so i only have to carry one type of ammo for my side arm and main weapon) but for right now i have my 12 gauge. not the best choice thou
Do you need to reload that thing? yup. using clips 20 rounds or better
Gotta plan for that? defensive weapon.
Got a survival philosophy? Don't get bit! Lay low. Survive
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Yes but they need to be able to handle there own because I'm not a babysitter.
Skills? been working construction for years. figured it will come in handy. i'm a back yard mechanic but i don't plan on cars lasting long. i can weld also. right now i got a job cooking. just a skill i needed to learn
