ok, so. my kit list is as follows:
2 sets of DPM's (one woodland, one desert)
UBACS shirt, woodland
1 assault vest, DPM woodland
2 kevlar helmets ( one DPM woodland, one DPM desert)
2 NBC full suits. (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) (one DPM, one olive drab)
1 DPM jacket woodland
1 gas mask and filter
paratrooper boots
B.O.B standard patrol bag
2 Camelbacks (both 1.5 ltrs)
full medical kits 70 piece, and 50 piece

my weapons:
carbon steel katana
tool kit.......... (basicly, i don't know what's in there, but some stuff can kill)
- hoping to get an air rifle or something to at least stand a chance against some people who are violent...... or mabye the lucky pot shot in a zombies eye ;D.

My Plan:
set in the North West of England, Manchester. Starts in altrincham. Ends in manchester city centre.

during the first signs of outbreak, i would go to my step mum's work place and stay in the upper floor of the buliding. it is a pub and is very easy to barricade because it is small and defendable with many roof accesses and a quick get a way from the beer garden on the upper floor.
i would then stock up majorly on tinned foods and weatabix, because that can last up to a year. i would also stock up on big creates of water.
my freind would join me and bring his own food and supplies. he also has military kit like mine.

if it escalates to anything more serious, then we would look for a few armed responce officers and ask them if they would like to stay with us, as they have firearms. if not then we would rob guns of people or scavange some kind or ranged weaponary.

we would then hold out in the pub, and use the metro link lines above the pub as a survivor meeting location. because the location is exactly 1 minute away from the pub, and yes i am being accurate about that. it's just round the corner from the pub.

if we make it past all the terror and the panic, and things begin to go back to civilisation, then we would move into the GMEX that is aprox 10 mins away from the pub. because it is HUGE!!! and with enough building supplies, you can make a refugee camp quite quickly, as the whole building is like a warehouse. Raves, conventions, and BMX tials are held in the GMEX, so you can probbably guess that it has no support poles and the floor plan is very flat.

after that, we would try to signal to people like the army or police force to help us using radio coms or signal flares fired from the roof of the building.

i'm pretty sure we could last because in manchester, after all the panic, the hilton will be pretty damn good to take over because it's just next to the pub. and for anyone who is wondering, the pub i'm on about is called 'The Deansgate'. go in and have a pint ;) then you'll understand what i mean by small and defendable :)
