About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: After watching Resident Evil 2 for the fifth time... What started my zombie fixation: After watching the 2004 remake of George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead one Sunday morning... Favorite zombie book: Favorite zombie movie: Shaun of the Dead Favorite quote in any zombie movie: "It's time to nut up or shut up." Tallahassee-Zombieland (2009) My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: I'll be out on the web hopefully before Z-day giving out advice on the Internet before it goes out while starting a radio transmission network to be ready when the end happens. My location: Texas. You don't need to know more than that. Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? The personal plan has to be dependent on your hometown or it won't make any ******' sense. I try to make general ones for any person to use. Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Never stay home. They always find you. If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? I'll have the keys to my Dad's car. From that point I may high-jack a bus to roam in. Going to the docks is not good at this time because of the oil spill. I'll have to refrain from the major highways. Hopefully, I'll be able to take action before the world gets a handle that the apocalypse has come and they have to start getting the hell out of dodge and flood the streets and swamp all the gas stations. Got anyone I want to take with me? My gun-wielding best friends...My family isn't very athletic. I'll most likely have to let them go. How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? I don't plan on being Moses and taking in a bunch of survivors. Just me and my friends (for how long that lasts). How am I planning to get food and water? I plan to stock up before Z-day happens and have underground supply rooms across the country. Best Case Scenario (BCS): I'm living in Canada or Russia 70-100 mi. away from most civilization like I plan to when I'm older. We'll have to wait and see when Necroapocalypse happens. What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? I'm stocking up beforehand on that too. Both my friends frequent the gun range; so, when I meet up with them, I'm good for a while. Until then, I have a machete and a ******** of wooden planks in the garage. Got a survival philosophy? The Ten (and counting) Commandments of Zombie Survival 1) Humans are naturally whiny, panicky, sons of *******. If you can go by yourself, do it. 2) If you can't do it with one bullet, you should have gotten more practice. 3) Always know what type of zombie you're dealing with. 4) Hand-to-hand combat is never the answer unless you can snap necks like a freakin' vampire. 5) Go on a supply/ammo run at least 2 days before you run out. I say 2 days to compensate for losses while making said run. 6) Learn how to hot-wire any vehicle, 'cause you sure as hell can't go walking all the way anywhere. 7) Get into shape before the Apocalypse. Chances are you'll have to outrun it and no one's gonna wait on your fat ass. 8) Any "passing through" should be on wide-open land whenever possible. 9) Guns are a girls' best friend. And so are knives, M203 grenade launchers, tampons, VitaminWater......water... 10) Take your frustrations out often (without putting yourself in zombie-harm's way of course). If you don't, you'll go insane. Insane people always die when you need to make a big city supply run. Insanity, however, is a pleasant escape from the horrors of reality. Therefore, it is best to go insane in a homicidal way instead of the mentally fractured way. This helps you deal with the guilt of ruthlessly killing people or people that used to be living, which is a good thing because thoughts like that bring down you're overall motivation to be a zombie survivalist. When possible, find something breakable like a no-longer-needed vehicle and smash it to ******* oblivion. That should blow some steam off... Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Read above... Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? My plan(s) is based off of a comprehensive study of movies, quizzes, blogs, games, and eventually books that speak of the Zombie Apocalypse.
