Yes. Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Heading out. If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Car Got anyone I want to take with me? Mom, Dad, Brother How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Use a short wave transistor radio How am I planning to get food and water? Place I am going to has a natural well and small garden plus provisions packed What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? Melee: Crowbar because it is durable, strong and relatively lightweight and can be used for a number of other things. Short to medium range: 9mm pistol because its small and can be used in a tight spaces and ammo is easily available. I also have experience in this weapons use. Medium to long range: The AR15 (M16) semi-auto assault rifle because its easy to use, accurate, and I am very well stocked in its ammo (5.56mm). I am also extensively experienced in this weapons use. Got a survival philosophy? Always avoid a fight. Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Yes but no more than 3 (have my own people to look out for). Extra clothes >2 shirts >2 pants >5 pairs of socks >5 underwear >Boots >Leather jacket (can't bite through leather and it looks badass!) >face mask and eye protection (from fluids) 10. Flashlight + extra batteries 11. Small first-aid kit 12. Narrow 7" knife (smooth blade) >sharpening kit 13. 2 canteens > Water purification tablets 14. 2 roadside flares for distraction and/or attention getting 15. Map and compass 16. Pencil and paper 17.
