About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: Lifetime obsession What started my zombie fixation: Way to many zombie movies that leave you realizing "this could already be happening all around us!" Any actual planning I have done has been based on zombie movies and books, Favorite zombie book: Zombies: A Record of the Year of Infection Favorite zombie movie: Night of the living dead (1968) Favorite quote in any zombie movie: "They're coming to get you Barbara!" My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for me on the radio waves or web: Krepps My location: Chester/Montgomery County, PA Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Safer ground not far from home where its less populated. (Home field advantage / Know my surroundings so there's less searching for supplies later). Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Safer Ground. If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Full size Pickup. Got anyone I want to take with me? Anyone who wont slow me down or endanger me. How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? CB radio / Cell phone while communications and power hold out How am I planning to get food and water? Hunt/Fish Sterilize river/stream water. What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? The same compound bow and 30-06 I use to hunt. (keeping it familiar so not to much time is spent learning new weapons, that time can be better used for other things). Got a survival philosophy? Not really, I'm just looking to survive. Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Yes as long as they will not put me at risk in any way. Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may know of? but also taking into account human nature itself. By human nature I mean thinking about situations that have come up in the past. When a disaster occurs where do people generally go, how do they act, and what causes these reactions. I believe these are all things that should be considered when putting together a survival plan. This way you can anticipate where the majority of survivors, the undead, and leftover supplies will be in the event of a zombie infestation. This is the only logical way to plan any survival attempt.
