What started my zombie fixation:Resident Evil, I was watching the survivors and began to think "what would I do?"

Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?Plan is going to be activated regardless of where the zombies are. How it is put into play depends on the immediate threat level from the zombies.
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?Heading somewhere else for sure, I live on the edge of a big city and am surrounded by small towns, all within about 20 miles.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there?Hopefully by vehicle, but if I have to make it on my own two legs I will. My plan is flexible to both.
Got anyone I want to take with me?Hopefully my family and girlfriend.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route?Currently I will be a hermit or limited to basic signals such as a mirror or flashlight. Girlfriends truck has a CB so hopefully that will be available.
How am I planning to get food and water?I have emergency rations enough for one week, hopefully I will have a space for canned food and will bring a water bottle and purifier. I also am getting into hunting so as long as there are uninfected animals I should be good.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?Currently, I have a wood baseball bat, and a crow bar. A family friend is selling me his Remington....270 I think it is. Only seen it once so I am not positive on that. And I will be getting a machete from a local outfitting store.
Got a survival philosophy?Kill everything not capable of saying "She sells sea shells by the sea shore" at least once.

Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? I have been adapting from many of the plans I have read on this site and others, trying to find the best solution for my area and abilities
