About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: Late 90s Early 2000s, Y2K wasn't a concern to me but this is!Former US Army National Guard Private First Class trying to reenlist. Quartermaster last time and this time. Still I got Infantry buddies to teach me a thing or two. I got my radio name Psycho during BCT, decided to keep it. RC 921 will be slapped on an IR callsign patch and slapped onto a sleeve of my ACUs. What started my zombie fixation: Half-Life, that's right the Headcrab Zombies started it all, it was followed shortly after by Night of the Living Dead Favorite zombie book: Not much of a reader believe it or not Favorite zombie movie: Dawn of the Dead (they had the right idea at the end, sorta) Favorite quote in any zombie movie: My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: RC 921 (Romeo Charlie Niner Two One), Psycho, or I'll address myself as my rank and name, provided I'm in the military at the time. My location: NC Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Rather dependent on the locality, friends and their situation, jet fuel at air ports, and the zombie situation at our island destination. Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Hawaii! Finite zombies, even if they CAN walk on the ground in water, the pressure would either crush their bodies or they'd be shark food If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? Starting out with any vehicles available, civilian or military, then any jet aircraft with cargo capabilities to hold a UH-60 or M1A2 Abrams, and other supplies Got anyone I want to take with me? All the help I can get! How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Most likely over military shortwave radios on military channels. Just need a refresher on how to run the radio. How am I planning to get food and water? Collect it as I go. I plan on starting out with at least a week's worth of MREs and a couple gallons of water. Got a CamelBak and Canteens for a reason. What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? The M4A1 Carbine! My MOLLE set allows me to carry 12 30 round magazines and 2 20 rounders if I don't carry frags Got a survival philosophy? Move fast! Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? So long as they don't turn militant on me. Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? -THE NUTSHELL OF STEPS- Step 1-Meet with other local survivors who I planned with at the designated rendezvous point. From there we shall convoy by any vehicles we have (or attained) towards the nearest AFB or airport if reaching AFB is impossible or improbable. Step 2-Acquire Heavy Vehicles and Aircraft. This will require us attaining an M1A1/A2 Abrams and/or UH-60 as well as any food supplies and any weapons. We'd also need a heavy duty cargo aircraft, either the C-5 Galaxy or C-17 Globemaster III. If attaining either is impossible we'll attain any civilian jet aircraft. Current military and flight trained members of the group will come in handy for this step Step 3-Rescue Other Survivors My local survivors (and myself) have friends and other survivor groups spread across the country with designated airports as meeting areas. We will land at the airport, refuel and hold our positions while refueling and rescuing are in process. Step 4-Departure From the Continent After rescuing any survivors at San Fransisco's airport and filling our tanks, we'll depart the mainland US and head for Hawaii. Upon reaching Hawaii there will be several outcomes depending on the situation. However all islands will be secured and Hawaii will be our base of operations for a few years as we wait for many zombies to die out so we can reclaim the mainland US.
