Zombie Survival
Jun 19 2009, 5:22 PM EDT
Ever since my zombie addiction started,I can't help but observe my surroundings to see if its a good place to hold off against zombies,I mean lets face it,a zombie attack would happen at random and might not be while you're in the comfort of your home/fort/whatever.Where are good places you've noticed that would make good places to hold off at?What you do to stay alive at the place? How long would you stay?

Well, I must admit that I tend to let my mind wonder about what to do in case of a zombie attack. I noticed that my mother's office building is a good place. The building is two levels and is made of concrete, two entrances (one front and one back with the metal gates that come down to secure them), one cargo entrancce with a cargo elevator next to it, two bathrooms (one on each floor and the top one has a bathtub). Plenty of comfy furniture since they sell it and basic tools for defense sine they have a workshop to restore antique lamps. There are large glass windows in the front but they are shatter proof and they have storm covers that you can put on. Hmm, there is a nice supply of food and plenty of restaurants around it if you need to leave at some point to get supplies. Also, there is a gas station in the corner with a garage so that's helpfull. Hmm, that's the only one I've given a lot of thought to, but if I come put with anything else I will be sure to share it. |

I found a few places that could at least for alittle while, recently I went to a friend's church and visted the part where the youth group was held. The building is a wide and one story, good so you wouldn't have to worry about be cramped up with others and also not to many windows.Theres vending machines with snacks and drinks, big heavy doors that would be hard to break through, and if came down to it,you could get the roof fairly easily wich is good for sniping and being spotted by a rescue chopper.Since it's for youth group, theres plenty of puzzles, cards and board games to stay entertained. The downside is there isnt to many big objects to use as barricades and the few that are would have to be used to block the only glass doors in the front, and you'd be trapped if the place was surounded with the roof being the only place to go if they manage to swarm in the building. Also theres nowhere nearby where you can get more supplies so you'd have to last of what you brought and whats all ready in the building, and not to mention the only bathroom is in the main church building(not a good idea if zed heads are lurking nearby)

Easy access to the roof sounds like a good thing but I would hate to be trapped somewhere with only one entrance or exit. The roof is nice for snipping and evacuation but not for staying long term. I mean, what would happen if the birds start feeding on infected flesh! Still the rest sounds good, especially when there is plenty of space and enterntainment. The one thing that kills faster than a zombie is boredom.
