Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Bug in. I live in a third (top) floor flat with secure entry and a heavy storm door in addition to a front door, plus a good deal of heavy furniture for barricading, and a number of corner shops and restaurants as well as a supermarket all less than 5 minutes away. If everyone in the building survives we can set up a little community, otherwise I can signal out of my window periodically to attract any wandering survivors.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there?
Got anyone I want to take with me? My partner who I live with and our 2 pet rats will all stay.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Once the phones go down I'll have no way to communicate, but will try to signal out of my window when appropriate; I might set up a permanent sign, since zombies can't read.
How am I planning to get food and water? Stock up beforehand if I'm smart.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? I have a kitchen knife, a pen knife and an opinel folding knife. The latter 2 are very small and the former is not very sharp. I could do with something better.
Got a survival philosophy? Haven't thought of one yet.
Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Absolutely. The more the merrier!
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Not really, although I have been given a few ideas for improvised weaponry/escape tactics by various fictions.
