My guess is that after a person has between 6-9 hours between infection and reanimation. Seeing as those cases are often taken to hospitals, that is going to be a hotbed of activity. Again, my guess is that you have 1/2 -2 weeks before the entire hospital is infected. So, following the pattern, you would have 2-3 weeks to evacuate before a state of emergency is declared and an entire city section would be infected, and within a month, the entire city could be infected, within 2-3 months, a county, 4 months a state, and a year the entire US. But again, thats just my guess.
