I like #1 better than #2. Staying put is better than traveling.

You're plan #1 seems sensible. You have a well devised plan there. I would suggest you consider some methods of an escape route off the roof if you have to. Maybe hiding a ladder up there.

Thanks for the feedback. Still working on my I-pod though. I will work on an escape route.

I will keep a car with gas full in the garage, and door opener in my BOB once I get 1. If I have too, I'll keep it outside so I can jump down and get in the car. I'll keep the keys in my pocket so I can unlock it before I get to it. If the SHTF, I can drive and stay somewhere else for a few days waiting for the possibility of zombies still at site a to be lowered, hoping they will wander away after a few days. Then I will start the process over if they have. Once I run out of gas, I will have to take my BOB and risk a foot race with them. I have no bike, yet. ( am now considering investing in one ) this will be when I use a gun, don't want to waste bullets when unneccessary.
