IMPORTANT read this part:
I do believe in the possiblity of zombies existing, with the only logical way of happening...through science(research that accidently/purposefully led to the creation or modification of a virus etc etc)

With that said other people might add "Well if that's the case then chimeras can exist too....through gene splicing"
to which I'll reply "fuck you that's impossible!" :P

What I'm trying to say is, zombies can exist and we should prepare and it's up to you how you prepare for it. As for me all I'm doing now is staying in shape, practising with a few weapons and constructing a plan. I'm not going full on and building a bug out bag(which can also be used for other disasters such as floods/tornadoes/earthquakes/government becoming totalitarian) or joining a sports club just to get a gun.
This is just my way of preparing.

They say "your damned if you do and your damned if you don't" so either zombies will never exist and you can laugh at the wiki for creating this website or zombies end up existing and your being eaten alive while we laugh because your like "that motherfucker" in those zombie movies

My Stats (because Lady_Oblivion's a bitch I'll edit some of these things *grumbles*)

Strength: I am strong....fuckin happy? *grumbles about how she's not letting me show off a little* ;)
Endurance: For the beep test I managed to go up to level 7.2 before tiring *grumbles at 7.2 being last years beep test score*
Age: 17
Location: Melbourne, Australia
Occupation: Graduated high school....preparing for Zombies! Parents forced me to go to University and get a degree in Managment....after that, either the Australian Defence Force or Police *grumbles at not being 18 yet*

Weapon Experience (By practise I mean I teaching myself, mostly trial and error and the tree in my backyard)

melee: Proficient in the use of baseball bats and kitchen knives. (practising to use a machete and axe now)
ranged gun: never fired or held a gun....ever (meaning no training at all)
ranged other (eg. bows,crossbows): Proficient in using Bows(Compound & Self Bow) and throwing knives (both handle heavy and blade heavy)....I know my bow exprience will slowly deteriorate because I've stopped using them.

Psychology: I am very calm and collected in most situaltions. I have also never seen anyone die that affected me that would allow me to cope in a possible isolated world. Never been around death but I have read what it is like to kill someone for the first time. I hope that never happens but I pray I can overcome it (whether zombie or human).

Skills: - Been reading on wilderness survival guides on the net and from survival books. So far I have learned the basics such as building temporary shelters(incase my haven is destroyed), creating fires, how to treat minor wounds and using basic medical equipment (those found in a medical kit) to close up cuts etc. Although no actual practical training.
- I also have manuals for certain guns from the internet such as the M1911, Mark 23, Mossberg 500 and the Glock 17. I've read them but not studied them. Still good for reference once I accquire a gun.
(As I'm learning from the internet/books and not through practical means, I'll call my wilderness survival skills "theoretical skills" and gun knowledge as "faux knowledge")

SUMMARY Ever since I've finished school I've been practising with weapons (my baseball bat, knives, my new machete and fire axe) and I've been exercising. All in all I'm becoming more fit and slowly becoming more skilled in melee weapons.

Note: I have no professional training with these weapons but I have been practising in my backyard to familiarize myself with them and to avoid pulling moves that may injure me.
Eg. When I first started practising with my axe I swung too hard and spun around nearly twisting my ankle!
Note again: I'm not going melee crazy and swinging my axe and machete around like I'm some medieval badass. I'm avoiding zombies where possible.

Fire Axe (Already in my possession) Decided to use both my axe and machete during ztime.

Machete (Already in my possession) Using this along with my fire axe, came with a shealth and a belt so that's a plus!

and for backup
Aluminium Baseball Bat (if ever my axe breaks or my machete dulls) keeping this in car or at home though

along with, as melee side arms

3 Kitchen Knives (Already made sheaths for my kitchen knives, one for my right thigh and both upper arms)
Useful for "intimidation" purposes as well as a quick access weapon in case I'm suddenly being grabbed by a zombie and my machete/axe isn't on me when they do.

Armour Section:
Note: may not be the best, hell may be even more of a disadvantage but I sure as hell rather have something then just normal cloths and since I live in Australia I can't exactly obtain Dragon Skin Armor at my local K-mart!
Another Note: notice this isn't called "My Armour", it's because I haven't accquired them. Hopefully I will soon.

Motorcross armor/pants: Which I can easily purchase at any motorcycle store but for around AUS$300 for everything. I saw this on the wiki. The pants may hinder my speed so depending on the type of threat I'll either wear it or wont, same goes for the upper armour because I know it might restrict my arm movement.

along with

T.A.S Assault Vest: I know they are a hassle, theres straps that could be grabbed, any pouches I buy may not fit the vest etc but I can wear this over the motorcross armor and have quick access to the equipment on the vest (flashlight, knife, any ammo I need for my weapon). I'll try not to overload it.
Originally this description was for a load bearing vest but I can't find anyone that sells LBV. Aussie disposals sell assault vests which to me fulfills a LBV's job. $100 AU too so go figure!

police duty belt: This for me seems like a better substitute. And I can wear suspenders to distribute the weight of the belt to my shoulders as well. It would carry all the basic things I need such as flashlight, small first aid kit, a gun if I "took" the belt from an officer, radio and spare magazines or speedloaders.

An Energizer Flashlight (This has 2 light settings, one with white light and the other a more brighter yellow light)

Is your plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?
I live in the city so yeah...it pretty much is dependant on that
Will you be staying in your home or headed somewhere else?
As much as I want to say I’ll be moving to the rural areas, I wont. I’ll stay in the city until it otherwise becomes too dangerous. (A foolish plan but all I can think of right now)
If you’re heading out, how do you plan to get there?
By car. Or more specifically a car with a trailer.
Got anyone you want to take with you?
My family and girlfriend(although, I’ll probably have a new one by the time zday hits :P) as well as my friends and if possible their families too.
How will you communicate with the outside world, or do you plan to go the hermit route?
By the end of December I’ll have a radio transceiver (that’s a walkie-talkie for you kids out there). I want to communicate with other survivors but not necessarily meet them.

How are you planning to get food and water?
Gathering whatever I can during the crisis as well as having an already pre-stocked cupboard with 100+ cans of food which should last me at least a month if I eat 3 cans a day. I’ll also be growing crops on the roof of my hideout which should help. After my cans of food run out, I'm pulling an I am Legend and searching each place one by one for food and such.
What’s your weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?
I live in Australia, meaning firearms are illegal for civilians to have. I’ll have my fire axe and machete with me. If I do join the Police however, I will have access to firearms. I should note however, depending on the zombie, I would use ranged weapons over melee weapons.

I’m too empathetic. I have to always help people. Which is stupid and risky during zday but I have to.
