About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: I have no clue. What started my zombie fixation: Finding this site. Favorite zombie book: NONE Favorite zombie movie: Resident Evil: extinction (its BS, but cool to watch) Favorite quote in any firearm related movie: "I don't know the name, but only the sound it makes when it takes a man's life." (He lied about everything) My BOL is less than 50 feet away from my house. My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: noneMy location:Long time Friend's house across the street unless we need to Bug out of there too. Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?i anywhere Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?both If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there?foot, dirtbike Got anyone I want to take with me?2 friends. How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route?hermit How am I planning to get food and water? preparation What’s my weapon of choice? depends if the apocalypse happens soon Do you need to reload that thing? no and yes. Gotta plan for that? yes Got a survival philosophy? Don't hope for anything. Hope is for the losers. Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? they have supplies? Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? no I am born into an anti gun family, and for some reason I love them. I have shot only a few firearms. 1. Sig Sauer P226 40. cal S&W. : I was hitting steel plates consistently from 10 meters within two magazines with this. 2.Springfield XD in .40 cal aswell: I liked this gun. It was lighter and a little bit harder recoiling due to the lower weight, but still very controllable in terms of operating it. 3. Saiga 12 semi auto shotgun. :Great gun, I didn't really like it that much (I think it's just because of the hand guard/grip in the front. It's not really round enough for my tastes.) 4. Some kind of M4 with burst capability and an EOTech and vertical grip. AR type guns fit me very well and they put a smile on my face. 5.Single shot bolt action .22 at scout camp. I play airsoft often with my friends and since I have an AK type airsoft gun, I'm fairly decent at things like magazine swaps and operating the safety. I practice taking apart my airsoft gun, which apart fromtheinternals, field strips exactly like a real AK. In case you haven't guessed, a 74 or AK100 series would be my preferred choice of gun in a zedpoc or WROL situation. I like AR type guns too, but I prefer the reliability of AK's over the AR's accuracy. (BTW I know AR's aren't Jam-o-matics if you clean them, but I feel more comfortable with an "abusable" rifle.) My BOB: Swiss Gear hiking/skiing/technical style back pack. Clothing: UCP ACU's. Woodland BDU's with Boonie hat. Cloudveil technical softshell. Jeans Cargo pants. Columbia hiking shoe/boots. Wool socks. realtree hat (very comfortable)\ Half finger Oakley SI assault glove knockoffs Gear: Wire cutters. CRKT M1613z folding knife. very small 3 led pen light. 2 S&W Special Tactical tanto knives. cheap knife sharpener BSA flint and steel. lighter carabiner compass. Assortment of caribiners. store bought first aid kit with more stuff in it that I added for my needs. At scout camp I had the first aid guy say it was the best one he's seen that small and compact. very strong boating rope (approx 70 feet, and more if I have time to take the used boating rope from the boat) lighter. matches. 3 liter camelback. 2 1 liter plastic bottles. 1 metal bottle for boiling water in. a bunch of granola bars. 250 feet of painters wire (well, after I re stock tonight) very bright flashlight with strobe and headlight strap. Lifegearbattery poweredglow stickwith strobe. throat mic fortalk-aboutradio. Things I hope to add soon: Trying to sway my dad to get some guns for the family. iodine or water purification tablets. MRE's. Zippo lighter. Some kind of fixed blade knife. (leaning toward SOG Seal Pup Elite with TINI coating or a Buck Nighthawk. Any will do though.) Tying into guns, Nice ANSI rated sunglasses or if I can find low profile goggles with a tint of some sort. for guns again: Ear protection for being around gun fire (Being deaf in zedpoc= :( ) Hoping for one that amplifies background noise and has integrated comm's. Winter loadout: Fleece underlayer, Columbia hiking boots, Head Ski gloves, Ski goggles, everything in BOB. Summer loadout for everyday wear: T shirt, ACU or Woodland pants, or jeans. (then the rest of the gear.) (only possible if my BOL plan stays intact) hunting loadout: whatever camo works best for where I'm going, and All of the stuff inside my pack except for clothes. Scavenging loadout: Technical Softshell, BDU or ACU pants (depending again on season) and my BOB which has lots of room inside it now because I moved the clothes out.
