My Plan.
Aug 25 2008, 7:40 PM EDT
Plan?: Okay, this has been carefully planned out by me and other friends, who'll come with me on this fateful day. We've all taken gun safety courses, some of us just inpreparation. After all, Organize before they Rise. There are four of us, and that's how it's going to stay. Four is a lucky number. You'll soon find out why. I live somewhat near a U-Haul center, and that's going to be the key element in our plan. We all have extremely high power Electric Airsoft Guns, and at the Zombie's rate of deterioration, the power should be enough to penetrate the brain. But that's not enough. My friends will fight them off while I go and pick one friend up, who'll get the other U-Haul truck. We'll go to a pawnshop downtown to get other weapons, and then it's off to Food Pyramid. Once the four of us are rounded up, one driver and one armed person to each car, we go to the store and get massive amounts of water and energy bars, as well as energy drinks, for boosts, and gardening tools, for weaponry. Then, we go to All-Star Athletics and get ammunition. Gasoline and ammo will be put in one car, with food and water in the other. Then, we head North. Going up through the states, stopping only in open areas not tainted with the infected to fill up on gas and get food out of the backs of the trucks, we'll go up through Canada all the way to the coldest area in North America. The Snag airstrip in Alaska. When we're there, we'll camp out inside the bunker, as it is a deserted army outpost, and hole up there until the incident blows over, or when we run low on supplies and make a run south to get more. Why so cold, you ask? Zombie's have no body heat, therefore in the sub-arctic temperatures of sometimes 84 degrees below zero, the zombies will freeze up like corpsicles.

Yeah, I know, after looking at the supplies I had listed, I realized that it really isn't all that I'd need. I'm going to mess with it tomorrow, kick around a few more supplies.

3. Some things to think about:
Nov 19 2008, 3:41 AM EST
I'd reccommend getting a .22cal rifle; they usually run for about $120-60 [quality dependent] and the ammo is cheap, workable and would get you to a better gun, like a 9mm handgun or a 12g shotgun. Since you're under 18 [I think], you'll have to have your parents buy you the rifle and a .22 is a good starting rifle, so they should be inclined towards getting you one given they like gun ownership and all that fun stuff; Christmas is around the corner w00t! ; )For cold weather clothing, go for broken-in [I suggest buying a pair soon and breaking them in] BOOTS, BDUs and military surplus in general. Just bring some sewing needles, drab fabric and thread to fix up any rips or whatnot. Just tell your folks it's for Airsoft, they'll understand. Note: Avoid ACUs [the light minty green digi-camo, I've worn'em before and the velcro pouches and pockets get snagged on stuff all the time and give away your position; go for the gray ones, the woodland ones or go with BDUs and get a pattern that best suits your environment; you'll be able to figure that one out ; ) In addition, be sure to place an even amount of supplies in each vehicle, in case you get cut off from each other, you'll need all of those supplies together for each vehicle. I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but I'd like to see as many Humans left as possible : ) |

For some good info on what NOT to do in subzero temps, read up on the polar explorations of the last couple centuries. I reccommend Endurance by Lansing, although most of them are good. If you go to Barnes and Noble, they (or we rather, I work there) have an Exploration section in the Histroy section. Also, survival books are in sports.

After reading through a few books on arctic survival, I'm staying within the continental U.S. I'm not stupid enough to think I can survive that for any extended period of time. So I'm thinking of heading up to Oregon. Cold in the winter and if Z-Day happens when many people think it will (December 13, 2012), the winter climates should do just fine. Not very densely populated as well. As for guns, I'm covered. I personally own (And yes, I'm fourteen, they are legally owned by my father, but they're in my closet in a gun safe) a Taurus .38 Special Revolver, and a Romanian AK-22 Training Rifle. It looks similar to a classic AK, but is far more accurate. Yes, it does fire .22 rounds. Also, I've been shooting since I was six, so I'm not desperate for training. |

Dude, aight it says ur n tulsa right which is pretty heavly populated. For the U-Haul truck being mildly close to get through all those zombies... N all those stops u plan on making how to u plan on pullin that one off... N u might want to get a real gun even something small like a 22 or something cause if u run n2 a horde with those air guns BYE BYE!!!
