About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: 2008 What started my zombie fixation: 2008 Favorite zombie book: patient zero Favorite zombie movie: return of the living dead Favorite quote in any zombie movie: BRAINZ My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Rubber Duck ( for that song convoy)My location: Georgia Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? i have a couple different plans. if its a small outbreak (less than 100) I would stay home, why would they single me out anyway theirs a lot of other people for them to bother around my place, just wait for them to get mopped up by some one a little better shot than me cops, army or locals what ever. if its medium (100 to 500) I would (conditions permitting) get out of town head some where outa the way (population under 100) on old back roads. if its large (500+) I would get outa town and stay gone for as long as it takes, head west to the plains if possible, lots of small towns with more guns than people and their own power source, also can see them coming from long ways in the open. if it reached pandemic/apocalyptic scale i would head for the Canadian Rockies (assuming i live long enough) their secluded enough that attacks in mass are unlikely and theirs enough game to survive off of and do my best to wait them out they'll rot eventually. If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? cars if the roads are clear and ill hoof it if not, i may not be in the best shape but ill get there eventualy not like i cant out run some shambling 1 step a second zombie Got anyone I want to take with me? I got a few friends that can hold their own that i would like to have at my side when i got my back to the wall and 50 ghouls staring me down. and of course i would take my family, no way i would let them get eaten How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? i would take a standard wind up radio to hear whats going on outside, if i could find a 2 way radio that was both long range and could be carried by one person (that i could power) i would get one of those too How am I planning to get food and water? food and water are all over common sense and basic skills you can find them in nature. but i would gather some MRE's too What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? for long range probably be either a .22 i have a lever action already but i would try to find myself a semi auto one with a larger clip .22 ammo is realy light i could carry 2000 rounds on me easily. A Ruger Mini 14, shoots .223 ammo which is a common and not too heavy caliber so should be able to get and carry enough it plus its accurate, or an AK-47 not accurate, kinda heavy, but ammo is plentiful and its almost impossible to break making weapon maintenance a no brainer. for melee a brush blade (blades about 8 inches wide and 18 inches long, last 8 inches is a curve) it outa hack them up well enough maybe an axe otherwise a good quality machete. and a good knife 4-10 inch straight edge blade and NON-FOLDING last thing i want is my knife breaking off at the handle Got a survival philosophy? stay together if movies have taught me anything dont split up, travel by day they can see in the dark i cant, spread out the load equipment carrying shouldn't be one person's job, use common sense, dont take needless risks, and dont waste the food/ammo Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? if their trustworthy no backwoods buba's with little brains and less teath, and none of those people that look at you like their just waiting for you to die to take your stuff Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? i loosely used the zombie survival guide but its mostly my own idea I know my plans a little rough, i based it on the slow zombie the fast zombie would kill me in about 30 minutes
