Hey y'all. I'm Ryan. I'm 18, out in the country, located in Western PA. I'm goin to college for engineering and playing soccer. And I plan on surviving the Zombie Apocalypse. Here's how: My BOB - Mostly, the weapons and gear I'll have on me. Rocketman's BOB  Lil' bout me. I got the nickname "Rocketman" from my paintball buddies, from my use of a big paintball bazooka I use to blow up anything from tanks to buildings to airplanes in scenario games. If I post some weird or offensive stuff, sorry. I'm told that when it gets late at night, and I get tired, I get weird as Hell. And maybe a little out of control. I've also come to notice that the members of the ZSDW work on a kind of menstrual cycle. There will come a week for every week or two where everyone starts chewing out each other and beating up on new members. It's entertaining in and of itself. If you're new to the site, watch out. On top of this, I have several other pocket knives, three more machetes, a number of hatchets, some hunting knives, and some baseball bats. (Other weapons are not listed)  My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: If I have one, I'll likely be by name or location: Ryan, or the Barge Farms. Otherwise, listen for Rocketman, Rex or Spike. My location: PA, Pittsburgh Area. We'll be mobile for the first couple weeks, before settling down. Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? When the fight comes home, or when ever is necessary - depending on kind of infection and Panic. Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?Headin out to the local river. If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? By SUV, truck, boat, and finally barge and tugboat. Got anyone I want to take with me? Family and friends How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Walkie Talkies and cell phones are the only resources I currently have. However, the BOL should contain several types of radio communication. How am I planning to get food and water? Growing food and raising livestock, as well as fishing/hunting. We'll be on the river, so there will be large supplies of water which will have to be boiled to purify. What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? ---Personal: FNH FS2000 (.223/5.56); Glock 17 (9mm) Machete, tanto knife with a 5 3/4 in. blade, and "Shadow Warrior" 1060 carbon-steel katana. ---We have reloading and sharpening materials. Got a survival philosophy? Surviving the undead is easy. It's surviving the living that I'm worried about. Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Three things: 1) They must be complacent. Any person just looking to take advantage of us (i.e. a raider) will not have a chance to get close. And any group (i.e. raider) seeking to take control will also not be well met. And by "not be well met", I mean we're gonna shoot the **** out of them. 2) If they are just showing up after the apocalypse, they must abide by the entry rules (i.e. surrender their weapons [possibly permanently], submit to search and quarantine). 3) Free entry, but no free rides. Each man should be able to keep himself alive, and then some. I have to worry about my people. If you want to be one of those people, talk to me and let me know. Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? It was originally based off the information given in the ZSG - it has been modified to fit any scenario.
