Hey y'all. I'm Ryan. And I plan on surviving the Zombie Apocalypse. If I post some weird or offensive stuff, sorry. I'm told that when it gets late at night, and I get tired, I get weird as Hell. And maybe a little out of control. I've also come to notice that the members of the ZSDW work on a kind of menstrual cycle. There will come a week for every week or two where everyone starts chewing out each other and beating up on new members. It's entertaining in and of itself. If you're new to the site, watch out. "Look at your comment, now back to mine. Now back at your comment, now back to mine. Sadly, it isn't mine. But if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate comments it could look like mine. Look down, back up, where are you? You're scrolling through comments, writing the comment your comment could look like. What did you post? Back at mine: it's a reply saying something you want to hear. Look again: The reply is now diamonds! Anything is possible when you think before you post!" About Me: When I started thinking way too much about zombies: When I heard about The Zombie Survival Guide and started reading. What started my zombie fixation: The ZSG and Dawn of the Dead Favorite zombie book: World War Z Favorite zombie movie: Dawn of the Dead; Zombieland Favorite quote: "My momma always told me someday you'll be good at somethin'. Who'd have guessed that somethin' would be zombie killin'?" - Tallahassee "The COG isn't a soul-crushing machine, dumbass. It's society. Mutual support, mutual dependence. Individuality might sound all noble and free, but it generally means crapping on your neighbors, and if you crap on your neighbors - don't expect them to help you. Rules hold humans together. And it's together, or die." - Private Dominic Santiago, to a Stranded conscript ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Life is not a matter of holding good cards, but sometimes playing a poor hand well." - Fortune Cookie "Compassion will cure more than condemnation" - Fortune Cookie And more quotes from around the forums: "Ah, gotta love the smell of recently-used banhammer and burnt-to-a-heavy-black-crisp noob on your birthday!" - WB08 (Alcatraz Island?) "There is nothing for you there but mall ninjas and birdsh!t." - ToxicShock [19:25] <@Drewblet> We could rob an Asian kitchen or just stroll around the block. Either way we're taking a wok. [21:05] <SovietPrince> doing drugs with people you barely know? a week's worth of hell. continuing with drugs? a lifetime of fail. telling people you're 13 and then getting bashed by god(john)? priceless [23:56] <Jahadaz> oh boy, just once I want a woman to well wish me with the ever endearing term, "kill them all" [23:56] <Jahadaz> Is that to much to ask? "(After the apocalypse,) You'll find 3 kinds of people: lucky people, prepared people, and strong willed people. Some may be all three. Their professions in pre-disaster make no difference. Bullets, zombies, and mother nature don't discriminate." - SR ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web: Not quite sure I want to encourage others to look for me... Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? When the fight comes home, or when ever is necessary - depending on kind of infection and Panic. Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?Headin out to the local river. If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? By SUV, truck, boat, and finally barge and tugboat. Got anyone I want to take with me? Family and friends How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? Walkie Talkies and cell phones are the only resources I currently have. However, the BOL should contain several types of radio communication. How am I planning to get food and water? Growing food and raising livestock, as well as fishing/hunting. What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? Got a survival philosophy? Surviving the undead is easy. It's surviving the living that I'm worried about. Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? Less and less so every day. Maybe if they are willing to surrender all weapons and stand down, we can integrate them over the years. Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? It was originally based off the information given in the ZSG - it has been modified to fit any scenario. And on a final note:
