About Me: What I really do: My main profession is a translator, but what I really do (apart from when working to earn enough to live!) is being a story creator, aka a writer. My area of expertise is comics; in fact me and two artist friends of mine are currently creating my Zombie comic "Nekron Gennesis" or "Birth of the Dead" which is to be a Web-Comic. I will post a link to my zombie blog once we begin posting! :DWhen I started thinking way too much about zombies: Well, I always thought zombies were cool (being dead and all! :P). But I guess when I starting thinking most about zombie during the summer of 2009 when i went into a zombie movie marathon watching whatever i could get my hands on, from Resident Evil trilogy and Dawn of the Dead to 24 Days+Weeks Later, Return of the Living Dead, Braindead and Planet Terror! What started my zombie fixation:Probably the week after where I bought the Last Night on Earth board game and proceeded to become a zombified no lifer for some weeks playing any zombie game i could find (Left 4 dead, Resident Evil, and many flash games!) Favorite zombie movie: Oooh must I choose? Planet Terror. Favorite quote in any zombie movie:Braaaaaaaains.... About Zombies: Recently the movie industry has tried to go to new levels regarding zombies. While this makes sense I highly doubt a thing that is half dead and rotting would be able to runafter you. Zombies are creepy because they never stop they always keep coming. While the occasional shamblemight make sense, there is no need to have them running or climbing buildings. I mean, they are half rotten, how could their limbs support such movement? However, in the unfortunate event that Z-Day does come, I don't plan to discuss the impossibility of a zombie running if a zombie pack is running to have me for dinner. My Survival Plan: My “handle” should you look for you on the radio waves or web:Coming Soon(er or later)My location:Athens, Greece Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere?Don't have a plan. Just guidelines. When there is chaos everywhere, a plan will only slow you down. Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? That highly depends on where I am when the whole things happens. But no, I don't trust my house enough to stay there. I plan to avoid urban centers. You are less likely to get eaten by zombies in places where there are not many people to be turned into zombies. If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there?By bike. I drive an off-Road bike so I can also avoid traffic jams and I can take a dirt path to avoid traffic in high-ways. At least for as long as my tank drives me that is. Got anyone I want to take with me?Depends on the situation really. Best choice is someone else with a bike. Better to take extra weight in supplies than on someone who could be infected. How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route?Hermit route. The less people you run into the less chances you run into infected ones. How am I planning to get food and water?Greek country side is full of rivers and wells so water wont be hard (with a length of rope and a bucket or other container). Food will always be a problem. But fortunately the Greek country side is again full of country houses that are not often used and may have supplies. So I guess Raiding and Scavenging is a good option to start. What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?I only got a knife at the moment but i wouldn't trust me going at so close quarters. I'd grab anything sturdy and long enough to bludgeon things with (a staff might do since I also have training with it). A firearm would probably be nice for an emergency but I don't know how to use them. Got a survival philosophy?Run. Heroes are remembered fondly. I'd rather be the one doing the remembering. Am I willing to hook up with other survivors? That depends on the situation. Groups are more effective but draw more attention as well.
