Is my plan dependent on zombies in your home town, or anywhere? Yes
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else? Somewhere else, Advanced Technologies Academy (high school)
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there? The sturdiest vehicle I can find
Got anyone I want to take with me? If I could take anyone, it would be my father (former law enforcement), my brother (former explosives operator in army), Izzy (current infantryman in army), and anyone else capable of using a gun.
Most likely, the first two would be the only two of the listed that would be near enough for me to bring.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route? AM Radio
How am I planning to get food and water? Water lines connected to the school, using the food in the school itself until it ran out. When it does, there are many grocery stores and restaurants within one or two blocks of the school.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that? Between my father and my brother, we have many weapons on hand, from inheritance. A Browning shotgun, a Carbine rifle, and three handguns. To my knowledge, we only have ammunition for the pistols, but there is a gun store within several blocks of the school.
In addition to that, a sledgehammer, as well as any other object effective for close combat.

Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of? Not that I'm aware of.
