Yes
Will I be staying in my home or headed somewhere else?
I'd move around despite the danger. Zombies aren't known for thier street smarts. The threat they pose is in numbers and high populated areas will be difficult to avoid.
If I'm heading out, how do I plan to get there?
On foot is my only choice. I haven't a clue on how to jump start a car. I wouldn't use one anyway as they make too much noise.

Not really, though I'd try to make it to a friends house to see if they were still alive.
How will I communicate with the outside world, or do I plan to go the hermit route?
Pretty much the hermit route. Unless I meet up with said friends or rescue/be rescued by someone.
How am I planning to get food and water?
Scrounge for it in other peoples houses and things like that.
What’s my weapon of choice? Do you need to reload that thing? Gotta plan for that?
A sharp stick. Most likely a broomstick with one end charred and sharpened, like an ancient spear. It would be reinforced with twine wrapped around it.
I'll need some sort of shield so I can go all Spartan on the zeds.

Yes, they might prove useful. But I would also be equally willing to dump them if they show signs of betrayel, cowardice or anything else that puts me at risk of being eaten by zombies.
Is my plan based on a book/movie/blog/scientist other survivors may have heard of?
I dunno, possibly. But people die in movies, I don't want to die.
