Folks, fellow Zombie Stompers; after the past 2.5 years of "being sickly to point of wanting to *get it over with*, had a new to me kidney transplant 15May 2011. In process of recovery and rebuilding of body, chemistry and the remaking of parts that haven't been useful to me or anybody else in literally years.
Been in process of exercise, eating MUCH more correctly, this after years of dialysis centered diet. Totally different.
Mentation and thinking processes are improving. Hand and eye coordination returning as new chemistry takes the "shakes" from my hands. Gunsmithing and working on mechanic things in shop are something that is actually returning.
Total change in life, somewhat like Man-O-Pause in reverse!
Looking forward to returning to penning information, answering questions that I have some knowlege of, and enjoying a return to my favorite genre of horror.
Good to be back.

Been a good ride. Time for other things in meat.space to take care of.
Thanks to my friends here at ZSDW.

in my case, i would choose a shotgun, because i enjoy the look and feel of a shotgun, and i would like to beat a zombie with the hardwood stock, everyone allways says that a rifle is so much better, but is a rifle REALLY better? shotguns can be just as acurate with a proper barel, and if your not a complete ass you can hit a zombie if its closeup, and its big enough of a boom to alert your friends for a while around, even if it alerts zombies, the only problems i could see is heavy huge ammo and the clip size, 6 is enough, but why have 6-10 when you can use 30? well, i guess the AA-12 solved that, but if you rock and roll with a 12 gauge, your going to be hurting or out of ammo in a jiff, and even with the (25 round barrel drum?) why do that when you can have a 75 shot barrel cip for an ak?

I have two rifles and a shotgun. Personally, I prefer the rifle. I dont care what shell your using or the type of barrel you have on it, a rifle will always be able to shoot farther with far more accuracy. Im not saying shotguns are a bad idea, quite the contrary. I believe shotguns can really shine. If i was to breach a room or clear out a place to scavange for surplies I would pick a shotgun hands down. In those conditions they will outpreform a rifle in the right hands. For general survival and versatility, a good rifle is hard to beat. Id rather take a skinjob down at 200+ yards with a .300 Mag than at 20 feet with 12 gauge loaded with 00 buckshot.

Perhaps they will install a collapsible handle and some tiny wheels like travel luggage so they can drag it only the battlefield..."
that whole poster just reminds me of Beverly Hills Cop 3. I suggest seeing that movie, if you havent you wont get the joke, but in it, eddie murphy has a gun that has a microwave on it, a gps, a cd player, multiple flashlights and a flame thrower. very funny

I am quite impressed. Makes me sad that I live on the East Coast and probably won't ever meet you, but also hopeful because we are taking a mass exodus outta there. Also, I like your views on many a thing xD

Hey! I know you've heard all about the swine flu lately. i just watched about it for a little while. Now, how many of you live in or around Carver County. I live just a while away (about 20-30 minutes away). My dad just told me that the schools are closed in Waconia. No reported cases but just a couple kids with respiratory problems. I guess the schools superintendets got scared. If I heard about this while a couple of kids in my school nad respiratory problems , I would probably close it too. Now I am willing to join or accept join-ees for my squad. It is very small right now. My and a friend or two and their mom, dad, and siblings (only 16, about 4-6 battle ready) at school. We have a plan to head for the Rockies and then we will stop in South Dakota and try to raid a place for fireworks including firecrackers, M-80's, and bottle rockets. We will then carve out a spot on a low hill or side of the mountain with a big trench all around. We will then make noise luring zombies. they will try to get to us, but then fall into the trench. We then throw down a Molotov cocktails and light them up or just let them rot. We will have a drawbridge to let in or out other survivors looking for temporary shelter. We have a few firearms and I and my dad have firearm experience, but no one else really does. Just thought you might want to know.
